The more I study this movie and hypnosis the more I really believe this movie outlines hypnosis more than any other.

Great movie! (A cult movie for my friends & fellow geeks; lots of humorous references and line-quoting at random times.) I've only seen it once... must see again...

BTW: I own a T-shirt with the image of a red swingline stapler on it, and the word 'Mine'.
office space is one of my favorite movies ! c'mon gang, how often does hollywood give us a fair shake? at least he dosent becme a svengali victim . how old is that movie and we're still living it down? the movie along with " dilbert " reminds me why im not a coorporate cog anymore. but lets not over analyze its a fun movie and we all have had to deal with t.p.s. reports, lunbergers, the burger house manager etc. and its a good segway for us as therapist how he demonstrates "unstressed". exagerated and simplified yes, but people have asked me to make them "sorta" like him!
unkle kirby gives it 3.5 stars.
im going to go stomp on a fax machine/copier now
viewers might also check anthony robbins in"shallow hal"
rember that if you take yourself too serious, no one else will " 321enjoy!

Annnd... Here's the famous Office Space hypnosis scene on YouTube:

My experience has supported James' point. I do a lot of shows on the college circuit, and "Office Space" was really popular with college kids for quite some time. MANY of them got the impression from the movie that Peter is actually "stuck" in hypnosis and that's why he behaves the way he does. I first saw the movie before I got into hypnotism, and that was my impression at the time, as well.

I've made lemonade from that lemon. It gives me a great conversation piece for my pre-talk when I do shows.

Office Space, while hilarious, is a great example of reinforcing the myth that a person can get stuck in hypnosis. In fact, it's usually the example I reference when I explain to clients that they can't get stuck.

I agree with Klingensmith!
