Oh My... Looks like Scotty Started a TREND....
So.. I am sitting out on the Island called Balboa waiting to go in and start my first show of the day... when I see in my email a note from the Magic Club " The Magic Castle". Seems that they are doing an ONLINE magicians conference this weekend. 3 Days of live streaming you can watch on your computer or download for later review. Some of the most respected Magicians will be speaking ....
Hummm That format sounds familiar. Where Have I seen that before?

Hmmmm seems like Steve Brooks should have gotten with you quicker.... This conference has the right people, it will be WELL attended.... I may attend also, curious how they are going to do it and how it compares platformwise

I'm checking this thing out right now.
Very different style than the hypnosummit. It's just one page with a chat that won't work in internet explorer (they say so and I've confirmed that to be true). There are no booths and no lounge, etc Just a single page with one video feed. They also have all the presenters at the same locaton on a stage in front of a live audience. Their lightng and camera work is impressive.
They organize things differently as well. They have 5 magicians perform their tricks and then show how it's done. Each takes about 5 minutes or less. At the end of that time, they all come back together for Q and A. It's run more like a TV show than a conference, which makes sense for their audience.
They have a host that transitions and chats with the audience between acts.
There are definitely some things they are doing very well. There are some things I would change. I'm in no position to decide the quality of their speakers, but this thing looks well funded and is definitely the beginning. Over all a very professional event. I'm going to consider some of their choices and think through what I could apply to the HypnoSummit.
