It's good to see you posting - Tony.
Hypnosis is an excellent alternative or adjunctive option for people with RA. And the great news is that you already have the tools and experience to easily help your client take just about all of the unnecessary suffering out of RA.
It is as simple as him how to relax, recharge and re-focus her attention in ways the promote de-stressing and moving into rest and digest states. Mastering these skills will remedy the two major symptoms that she is likely to be dealing with: Extreme, chronic pain and fatigue.
Hint: Helping a client tune out chronic pain is like helping a client improve her golf game -- In the same way you might teach her how to move into the zone and rehearse hitting the perfect shot-- Teaching her how to move into the Relax&Recharge Zone and remember the best times of her life or imagine the pleasures that await her. All you have to do is anchor the state and give her a post-hypnotic suggestion that she now has some control - She can trigger and enter Relax&Recharge Zone any time that she wants to energize herself and the moment that she does she will feel too good to be bothered by pain.
