PR TIP: Share Your Expert Opinion About Animal Planet's "My Extreme Animal Phobia"

A few days ago, James Hazlerig opined about a new show on Animpal Planet called My Extreme Animal Phobias in his blog post Psychologist Tortures Phobics for Your Entertainment:

I just finished watching Animal Planet's new show, My Extreme Animal Phobia, in which Dr. Robin Zasio, an attractive blond psychologist takes people with animal phobias, imprisons them in a house for five days, and tortures them with their worst fears day and night.

By the end, yes, they do get over their phobias. After spending five days torturing them, this sadistic psychologist accomplishes for her clients what any of us could do painlessly in an hour or less...

If you help clients release phobias (and can do it in one session, as opposed to five days), this might be a great opportunity for you to send out a press release about hypnosis for phobias, contrasting the "fast phobia cure" with what happens on the TV show.

Any Chicago-are hypnotist should jump on the chance to respond to this article, about a man profiled on the show: Joliet-area men battle fears on TV’s ‘My Extreme Animal Phobia’. At the very least, you should write a compelling comment on the article (but a press release would be better).
