Dear Sir,
Thank you kindly for your comments. It shows your desire to help the community to expand their abilities. This is a quality not often found in the world, and one which should be encouraged.
It is of most importance that genuine concern for development, education and aptitude of practitioners is kept in the forefront of members’ minds. It is with this attitude that the video was placed on the site.
The author’s intent was to stimulate curiosity. The subject of which was, “If there are so many able, super qualified communicators on board, then why is there so little success”?
It is of note that your personal page describes you as:
I'm a former Sales Trainer for motivational guru Tony Robbins. I received my hypnosis certification from Gil Boyne, and I studied NLP with Robert Dilts at a residency program at UC Santa Cruz, where I became a certified NLP Master Practitioner.
I challenge new practitioners to research the following:
A:
1. Who is ‘TONY ROBBINS’, and what his credentials are?
2. How powerfully important the position ‘SALES TRAINER’ would be.
3. If TONY ROBBINS were to appoint such a massively important position in a MUTLI-MILLION DOLLAR organisation (renowned by kings and governments world-wide): To what level of skill and ability would an applicant have to be at before Mr Robbins even considere entrusting this section of his business to?
B:
1. Who is Gil Boyne? Check him out at: http://gil-boyne.com/ (Please accept my apologies if there is more than one Gil Boyne Master hypnotist on the web)
2. Define the phrase ‘CLINICAL HYPNOTHERAPY’. Ask the question: does this include ‘PHYSICAL PROBLEMS’? Surely Erickson and the like professed to having done such things!
3. This guy does ‘MASTER CLASSES IN CLINICAL HYPNOTHERAPY. Surely one would not require any further training in the area if one had been ‘CERTIFIED’ by such an esteemed trainer! YOU WOULDN'T GIVE A CERTIFICATE OUT TO JUST ANYBODY, NOW WOULD YOU?
4. Gil’s web site states clearly: Quote “Gil Boyne has made numerous original contributions to the contemporary practice of hypnotherapy. He has brought to the counseling professions an awareness of the “inner wisdom” of the human psyche. He teaches that the “inner creative mind” not only knows all the questions but knows all of the answers as well.” End Quote.
5. The site quite proudly also points out: Quote “The fullest comprehension of Boyne's Transforming Therapy is acquired through a variety of "live" videotaped hypnotherapy sessions projected onto a larger-than-life screen, with Boyne stopping the film at critical points and explaining his methodology and therapeutic choices.” End Quote.
6. Question: Could one possibly ask for a more comprehensive and thorough education in hypnosis? And, wouldn’t a certified trainee of such a well respected and informative education already have the answers people are searching for on Hypnothoughts?
C:
1. Has anyone ever heard of a guy called ‘ROBERT DILTS’?
2. If not, then check him out. Then ask yourself this very important question: If I wanted to know about helping people, would this be one of the guys I’d like to learn from?
3. Check out the acronym ‘NLP’, and then the word ‘MASTER’!
My final point:
After absorbing such an astounding background knowledge and skill base from obviously extremely qualified and reputable trainers, and gaining “a certified NLP MASTER Practitioner” status from Robert Dilts:
SHOULDN’T YOU ALREADY KNOW HOW TO HELP A CRIPPLE?

There is much advice available on Hypnothoughts. The astounding reputations and qualifications of so many reputable members precluded the author to conclude that there was no need to teach anyone anything. The video’s author simply wished to give a ‘PRO-BONO’ account of a therapy success.
Unfortunately, the author’s CONVINCER STRATEGY has not evolved around videos depicting people dropping into trance at the say so of a well promoted personality. Alas, the author is slave to metaprogrammes that require a more solid proceedure. Though, he is willing to accept that videos, discussions and trainers on this site are of great value.
If you have considered this response with an open mind and willingness to progress, then it may be of value for you to consider the following:
1. If readers of this response are practiced and qualified professionals
2. And if such professionals are requiring additional assistance to gain results
3. And, they are unable to consistently demonstrate results to the calibre and genre as depicted in Neil’s video
Then you must resign yourself to one of the following conclusions of your status:
a) The training I have received is inadequate
b) Hypnosis is a con, and I’ll never fix people because it is all a con-game
c) Take personal responsibility and accept the possibility that YOU HAVE MISSED THE WHOLE POINT OF HYPNOSIS during training received!
If hypnosis is a con: get out now!
If your training was inadequate: get retrained. Maybe even try http://www.subliminalscience.com/clinical-hypnosis-training.html
If YOU HAVE MISSED THE WHOLE POINT OF HYPNOSIS:
Then retrain! Try: http://www.subliminalscience.com/
Or http://www.teenagehypnosis.com/
Please think of the logic: if there is such a magical thing as hypnosis, then why are we asking so many questions?
Love and respect Neil.

And your point?
The point is, there are many people who profess to have read many words, but don't seem to have understood one.
Neil,

This is a very interesting discussion, I believe further education is needed to help people with mental & physical limitation...
It disturbs me, when someone takes the 101basics in hypnosis, and then claims to be able to help and cure people, everyone can learn hypnosis, but not everyone knows how to use hypnosis with mental or for physical illness, training is needed, books and workshops and seminars are needed... that is what known to us as a continue education....
Our mission as a trained hypnotherapist is to educated our clients, about the power of their subconscious mind, and only with understanding, that great suggestions can be altered for specifics to promote healing for there physical and emotional limitation.. therefore it is a must to be trained and also recommended to work with other medical experts, it not only helps us, to be more educated with further understandings of the disease or the illness, and that can helps us to understand the causes better.

My 2 cents, Doreen
Dear Sir,

Huzzah! Kind regards for providing this reader with great enjoyment upon reading your fine words! I received this letter upon my steam-ship as it journeys back from my latest excursion to Timbuktu.

And a fond hallo! to those fellows who have found a way to unchain their spirit and are now Certified Masters of the Infinite Inner Mind and thus have the power to access all wisdom contained therein... I wish them well in their quest to get answers to the questions which vex them via this series of electric tubes, a marvelous invention indeed. What wonderful gadgets this electronic age brings, where Masters can further deepen their knowledge and understanding of the human spirit via DVD, big-screen projection TVs, and sites such as Hypnothoughts. How uplifting to know that each and everyone one of us can be Masters too just by taking a class, and Certified to boot!
Hello Grumpy,
You are funny.
I like you.
So Far.

Dear Other Readers,
Imagine a person has been trained to the point where the subconscious mind is accessible. (A feat which has proven impossible to the psycho-therapeutic profession for over a century, including Sick-man Fraud).
Take for granted also that this person can give suggestions. Commands to the subconscious that are accepted without question because the "watchman" or Lady of the gate is somehow by-passed.

If the greats were correct, the subconscious controls all our functions including our conscious decisions. Which is why smokers cannot give up the weed, and OCD sufferers can't stop compulsing. Even the immune system is under control of the subconscious.

So, it appears that in order to be in complete control of your life, your must be in control of your subconscious.

Now call me silly if you wish, but the subconscious mind is like a safe. A box to be cracked open, a computer to be hacked, or a lover to be persuaded. Either way, if you get in, only jealousy, suspicion or a virus scan is going to alert the need to put shields up and defend. But why defend if you are genuinely there to help.

The only reason you got passed the protection of the subconscious was because you related to it in a state called RAPPORT, didn't you. If you didn't, then the primary rules of hypnosis have not been met, and your client aint in trance.

If your client is in trance and you have rapport with the subconscious, that is when you can over-write subconscious decisions. If you cannot do this, then what do you believe trance is? I have great news for all of you. There is no limitation on over-riding the functions of the subconscious mind. Once in, you can over-ride them all.

Any communicator that has had trance level rapport with a client can get the client to do or change anything under control of the subconscious; and that means everything including cell growth. If this is not the case, then how is psoriasis and alopecia cured?

So, take heart my friends!

If you genuinely believe you get clients in trance, then good for you. You have the key to the universe.
However, if your hypnotic trance does not "fix" the client, then that means you do not have control of the subconscious. Remember, you and the client believe the problem to be within the control of the subconscious. Otherwise, you wouldn't even be trying hypnosis.

Rapport with the subconscious means "hypnotised"!

If you aint fixing them, you aint hypnotising them.

Love and respect Neil.
he he he,

Thanks for that Adrian.

good to see there is still some sanity and a sense of humour about.

There are lots of idea about how hypnosis works, including theoretical constructs like 'the unconscious mind'
It takes an open mind to consider others opinions, (however poorly formed).
However having considered the above opinions, I am left wanting something.

Like others, I was disapointed to see that the video, did not show what we need to see.

I would have liked to have seen footage of the subject's walking abilities beforehand, to compare before and after. I would have liked to have seen the essential hypnotic session. I would liked to have seen the follow up weeks, and months later to see how well the session, and subsequent follow up sessions lasted.

In the absense of these, all I see is some sensationalism, "Miracle"? without substance.
reference to 'Dr Royle' as an authority, further weekens any credibility.

LOve and hugs,

Fable
Thank you
