RIP Gil Boyne
Few people in the field of hypnosis are as respected as Gil Boyne. This isn't surprising, as few people have contributed as much as he did.
The legacy of this great man speaks for itself far better than I ever could. I also know his memory doesn't need my help in lasting the test of time.
I will say briefly, for the few of you who didn't know of him, that you were absolutely impacted by him.
Gil Boyne will forever be an icon in the history of hypnosis. I was thrilled to meet him in person and speak at his conference. I was humbled by his membership on this site.
Our profession has lost a giant who can only be replaced by the aggregate of his many students. No single person will fill his shoes, though we will all stand on his shoulders. Gil Boyne was a force of nature in our field who will always be remembered with deserved reverence.

Hi Scott
Sorry to read this I didn't realise how much influence he had in promoting and I think legalising (in some countries)hypnosis world wide until I read certain posts it on this site.
My thoughts go out to his family and friends

Thank you for that very kind tribute to Gil. I had the privilege of meeting him and learning from him.
He did so much for our field and so few are really aware.

For A.C.H.E alumni, the passing of Gil Boyne stands as a turning point for our organization. Gils' contributions to hypnotherapy will surely stand the test of time. I can think of no better tribute to this gentle giant than to carry on the cause for which he was so passionate in life. Let us all remember the man, let us recall his humor, his compassion, his quick insight, and his tenacity. As an organization let us move forward carrying the banner he bequeathed to us. Let us continue the struggle to bring better recognition, better respect, and better standards to our profession. Let us move forward with his spirit and example to guide us. Let us mourn.........then let us act!
