I'm familiar with the idea of treating the recipient of the noise from snoring. What scripts/suggestions have worked with the snorer themselves? Presumably suggestions that they will hear their snoring and will change position etc is the main theme

HI Robin,

I've used the idea that a sentry of sorts (solicit the client's input for this) will come to the snorer in a dream and tap him on the shoulder or whisper to him to (insert client's desire)... We set this up in trance state, checking with the SC that it is acceptable and then future test it. Make sure the client is allowed to drift back into restful sleep after making the change.

:) Kelley

Thanks Kelley, A great idea. I now need to persuade the clients snoring partner to see me

I have not had this come up for me directly, but I have been thinking about this very thing. Along with other things I would add a suggestion to keep just enough tension in the muscles in the throat to keep the airway open while sleeping. Vince.
What kind of results have you achieved with this? Thanks, Vince.

Hi Vince,

I've had several clients request help in reducing their snoring, some of them were also apnea sufferers. This approach was helpful to most of them, but not for one who slept so deeply that he didn't recall any dreams, ever.

I played off of similar ideas for bed-wetting (hat tip to Michael Ellner) and even the idea that someone having a nightmare can invite a guardian to awaken him.
