SHY BLADDER, difficulty in voiding urine in public toilets

I have an adult male patient who has difficulty in voiding urine in presence of other people.
He is okay at home or if alone in the toilet.
I have tried suggestive hypnosis and NLP techniques to make him feel confident or overcome phobia,
Age regression and past life regression has not helped so far.
Any suggestions?

Hi Sean, Yes, I agree, it is Paruresis, men and women of all ages have that too, it is also known as urophobia, shy kidney, shy bladder, and bashful bladder syndrome (BBS), and if it is not taken care of, it could lead to medical complications, that is why it is important to bring that up in before and during hypnosis.

It is actually part of social anxiety and phobia, these people usually have experienced childhood embarrassment, at school, or by their parents, they usually care what others will think of them.... I still think you can start the way I suggested, and gradually pill the onion, if you know what I mean... let him trust you and I usually tell my client, I just want you to know, that if you fart by accident, I can handle that, not that I am asking you to do it, but if you do, It's OK... It's not so bad, and see if he loughs, that usually breaks the ice....maybe the fact that I am a women is easier or maybe not, but I honestly can say, it is doable....

Still want to know how it goes... Thanks Sean for pointing that out... Doreen
Adrian: In a similar vein, my approach which has worked dramatically in many cases like this, is not so much to ask the subconscious mind why, as it is to get the subconscious mind to agree with you that it is willing to forgive and release, as well as improve and change the desired behavior, in ways both known and unknown to the individual whose life you are seeking to improve and upgrade. One way I do this, is while they are in trance asking their subconscious mind to nod their head in agreement that the changes are being made, upgrades are taking place, improvements, both subtle and overt are taking place, so now shake your head yes because you know this to be true .
I agree with John with the forgive, release and let go works wonders.....That would probably be effective...
