HypnoThoughts.com

the Free Hypnosis Social Network

I'll keep this very brief, since I hate posting promotional items.

A while back we announced the online hypnosis school that was a full year long.  It's 710 hours of training with some really interesting topics and respected presenters.  There was a lot of interest, but quite a few people didn't want to make the commitment for an entire year.

It took us a few months to work it out, but we now have it set up so you can register for only one course at a time.

Starting Next Week- you can take the course without signing up for a year program.  That means you will get all the pre-recorded video lectures as well as the live online chats for question and answer with the presenters.  You will be taking the same class at the same time as the full year students.

In March Roy Hunter will be teaching both Regression and Parts Therapy.  Right after that we have Brian David Phillips teaching Critical Thinking, and on and on.  Here is the complete list with dates, etc:

The pricing is still very inexpensive, and just a few client sessions will pay for an entire month of education with some of the industry's most respected practitioners.  There's no upsell and it won't just be a little information to get you interested.  It's the full course.

You can sign up for as many classes as you want, of course you can just sign up for one and see what you think.

Here's the link:   http://hypnosistraininginstitute.org/extension-classes

Thanks for asking,

Scott

Brilliant, thanks Scot and all the trainers, this will be a fantastic resource. I was actually planning how I was going to travel to the UK for Roy Hunter's training in April, this will be much easier and time efficient, thanks a mill

It'll be a shame not to have you here Rory!

I'm sponsoring Roy in Edinburgh: see below

But I'll be sure to take these on line courses too - sounds great.

Scott thanks for the resource. Some of the courses are not highlighted. Is that because they're not yet official? I'm interested in two of them.

Thanks again,

Anthony

Anthony,

We are still collecting all the information from the instructors including the syllabus, required reading, quizzes, final exams, etc.  we don't make the link active until we have all of that information for a particular course.
Many instructors have given us some, but not all, yet.  We will be updating that page as often and as quickly as possible.

Thanks,
Scott

I will be updating the course offerings this weekend.

Keep your eyes open.

For All,

If you are interested in participating in Roy Hunter's Regression and Parts Therapy, month long, Online Training, including Apx. 30 hours of on demand video and 8 hours of LIVE webinar....

You'll need to register by this Sunday, March 4!

For anyone looking to learn Regression to Cause AND Parts Therapy from the Man That Wrote the Book,

THERE IS STILL TIME!!!

Roy Hunter- Regression to Cause and Parts Therapy at HPTI

40 hours of on demand video lecture and LIVE ONLINE WEBINAR!

Only $268

http://hypnosistraininginstitute.org/hyp205e

If people can take both regresssion and parts therapy online for only $268 then we need to consider raising the price, as people pay more than that for attending the actual workshops. This low price already motivated Rory to take the online training rather than attending the actual workshop in Scotland.

While online training is better than simply taking a "home study" course, I still believe in hands on training for maximum benefit. Please consider the online training if hands on training is not available; but when you are able, please plan on attending a live workshop.

Roy-   In many ways this is the unfortunate reality of the internet.

From 1994-2002 I spent the majority of my time in Texas doing traiing on traditional mental health topics for mental health professionals.   I even made money in cities like Tyler, Abiline, and Corpus Christi.  Sometimes even in small town like Brownwood and Weatherford.

Along came the internet and online CEU hours.

It decimated the live training business, as people just got their hours from online read-a-book type courses.

That is when I moved to only offering hypnotherapy training live. In about 2002-2003

The reason, people still wanted hypnosis training live.

But as bandwidth increased, computers got cheper and faster and software has progressed to the point where a virtual class is ALMOST as good as a real class, I am afraid the good old days of live hypnosis trianing seminars is over.

It costs me about $4000 to do a live training class- when you add hotels, banquet space, travel and printing and postage.

I have to have TEN to break even.

It costs me NOTHING to offer online courses.

I make money on the first student.

And, the students are HAPPY.

And it costs them less.

Like Poloroid, like Stockbrokers with corner offices, like printing companies, and like many other businesses, (including publishing, and music) the internet has changed everything.

The bad economy, has just speeded up the new reality that hypnosis trianing is forever changed.

And so the Rory's of the world are not the exeption, but the new norm.

I am pretty certain there is NOTHING that will change this.   Ever.

And so the challenge is to find ways to adapt.

HPTI is one incarnation of that adaptation.

The price might be less, but the reality is my profit is about the same- and in some cases better.

I seriously miss the 1980's and 1990's.   I hate my cell phone.  I miss meeting live students every week.  I miss locally owned restaurants, and even the 24-hour Kinko's....

But we must adapt.  HPTI, ICBCH, SubliminalScience are all incarnations of a new model of hypnosis training.

Don't worry Roy, your ideas can fit into a new model effectively - and becasue of the specialized nature of your work, propbaly has a few more years of the old econominc model left.

Hi Richard,

Thank you for the response. I already received a private email from Richard Clark with a very satisfying explanation in different words, and I accept both of your explanations.

Best wishes,

Roy

Well it was more like 2 weeks to get caught up, however....

Many more of the courses have been opened up for registration.
