Hi Guys, do any of you have slogans on your websites, business cards or other marketing material and if so what do you have ? i have been trying to think more like a business and slogans came to thought, they are something very good for catching attention. The one i thought of and am not sure whether it is too cheesy is:

"change your mind!"

says what we do and is short.

What do you guys think ? this would be used under my logo on website and any leaflets

I like it and would add "Change Your Mind - Improve Your Life"

I uae: PEOPLE WHO FEEL BETTER - HEAL BETTER /// PAIN HURTS - HYPNOSIS CAN HELP and HOPE IS REALISTIC- HYPNOSIS CAN HELP...

My logo ( BBBenefits is a spiral and medical staff) with the wording

Above at an angle on my logo and below my logo

Connect to - (Logo) - Health & Wellbeing

I use a number of sayings  -

People are like sticks of dynamite. The power is on the inside, but nothing happens until the fuse gets lit." ~ Mac Anderson, Author

Hypnotherapy is therapy in hypnosis...

Hypnotherapy - Therapy in the Hypnosis Trance State

The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant.  We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.” ~ Albert Einstein

Hi

I like to give my 5 cents.

From a marketing perspective a slogan is far less powerful than a headline. Unless you are a big multinational where you name is important then I would forget about a slogan, it is not going to make anyone buy anything.

However a powerful headline can.

Headlines like :

I Can Make You Slim (courtesy of Paul McKenna)

Stop Smoking in One Hour

How to Lose Weight Without Dieting

Diets Don't Work.... but Hypnosis Does

They Laughed When I said I was going to a hypnotist, but when the pounds started to melt away......

From a marketing perspective you and your company are not important to the client. The client is only interested in WIIFM

So, personally I would forget the slogan and opt for a powerful headline instead

What Barry said!

Thanks for the heads up Barry-

Barry, as ever your 5 cents is highly valued by me and this is exactly why I use these forums, to learn from people like yourself and Michael who are successful and a lot more experienced than myself.
Anyway,
I see your point actually, my thinking was if it is situated under my logo then it catches the eye, it may be me but I think this can be used as a headline as well or do you think not. Thanks again for your input.

Hypnosis - Feel Better!

and...

Hypnosis Works!

Hi

Maybe, if you are in a niche market and your phrase if brief and to the point. For example, "Stop Smoking in One Hour" could be incorporated into a logo. It tells the reader exactly what you do and the benefit to them. ie they can stop smoking AND they can do it in one hour.

However, as far as I am concerned the first thing that someone should read when they come across your website is your headline not your name or logo.

I highly recommend reading about copyrighting. Check out people like Jay Abraham, John Carlton, Carl Galletti.

Keep a swipe file of headlines when you get direct mail. many of them can be utilised for hypnosis services like the "They Laughed.." headline. That must be 80 years old but the format is still successful.

My favorite, Jay, is "Hypnosis Helps!"

It communicates the modality and immediately makes the reader consider what they might need help with.

Quitting smoking.. is EASY?

Slogans have been around for decades----and it ties us to the product.

It's the REAL thing----Coke

Have it your way----Burger King

Where's the beef?----Wendy's

I spent 34 years in the radio world----only wish the slogans I thought up made it to the big time......

But I do have one on my website-----"Helping you along life's way"........
