I use "Square Up" and have been very pleased with it.  I have even had a few students so impressed with the process that they set up their own accounts.

I use square up sometimes.    The upside, they deposit right to your bank next day, no monthly fees and it works like a charm.   Down side, if you charge more than 1k in a 7 day period, they hold the balance for 30 days.   But my theory is I will need the money as much next month as today, so that does not bother me...

I also use Square. Easy to set up and dongle is very portable.

I just got my square up reader yesterday - used it once - worked great so far

I also am using "Square Up". They just dropped the 15 cent per transaction fee and only charge 2.75% for each transaction with a card or if the person does not have the card with them they charge 3.5% per transaction. So far working great. Also as Richard said they will only deposit up to 1k a month. They did tell me though and is speeled out in their HELP section, that after you have established a history with them they will work with you on adjusting that rule. It says they will periodically look at your acount and adjust it.

I just ordered a Square on my friend's recommendation.  I've heard Intuit works well also.

Richard - I sent Square Up an email on my first day saying that I run charges of over 1K per day and that holding it 30 days would not work for me. Within an hour I got an email telling me that they had approved me for no limit when a card was used.So far I am impressed & clients love the iToy!

My friend told me today that he had to  agree that all transactions would be for face-to-face therapy sessions as the phone card reader company will not allow  Skype,Internet or Phone therapy sessions....
