Sound like square up is the way to go is it not?:

Square is for face to face / in person transactions only.

It is still working very well for me and my uses.

I have a Square account as well, though I haven't had occasion to use it yet. I also had (when I was using the iPhone; the app is not available on Android phones) an app called Swipe. You could do everything on the phone, including signatures, and low fees. The only drawback to it was the lack of an external card reader.

I use square up sometimes.    The upside, they deposit right to your bank next day, no monthly fees and it works like a charm.   Down side, if you charge more than 1k in a 7 day period, they hold the balance for 30 days.   But my theory is I will need the money as much next month as today, so that does not bother me...

The Square Up is only for US issued credit cards. Not a major problem for me, but good to know.
