I have been asked to sit in on a panel discussion about
interdisciplinary strategies for stress management. This
panel will consist of about 5 people each speaking for
about 10-15 minutes about how to manage stress from
their perspective with a Q&A period at the end.

I mean, the answer to my strategy for stress
management is: Hypnosis. ~I am laughing. Pretty easy answer...

However,
I am curious what 'key points' you think should be shared?
I am usually very long winded...so I need to concentrate
on getting to the point a.s.a.p. ~rolling eyes ~ YES I am
aware of my gift for gab!

Minimum words - ultimate impact, is what my goal is.

I, of course, am hoping to wow the crowd in 10 to 15 minutes
(can I squeeze in 20 minutes? ~grin) with my extremely
intelligent and witty banter.

It never hurts to over prepare - so I thought if I put the question
out here I might get a nugget that I wasn't thinking about.

Hi D--

Herewith a possible answer:
As soon as you know who will be joining you and what they will be speaking about - You can easily figure out a way to shine as bright as you like and include every one in your after-glow -- In fact, I can see you blowing away every one in attendance in a way that promotes good feelings and good will...

FYI- In my practice networking with other practitioners has always proved to be a win-win and if it works for me -- it will work for you.

Hint- In my experience -- it's not what you say -- It's how they feel during and after your talk -- You want them to feel quite confident that you can help them feel better, heal faster and generally be more effective -- I am confident that you can do this...

Ciao for now-

ME
D--

Never be afraid of outshining others. Do your best and good things will follow. If others can't handle it, that's their problem, not yours.

I would explain very quickly that you produce real results from imaginary actions. A good example of this is crying in a movie--imaginary story, real tears. Then take them through a stress release visualization. The results will speak for themselves. Wrap up by pointing out that you train your clients to automatically respond to tense situations with a sense of calm.

You'll do great. I look forward to having similar opportunities in the future.

Actually, I'm going to be doing a two-hour stress management workshop in a local hair salon in about two weeks. Should be great!
Hi Donna,

I'm glad to help. I'd seriously consider Melissa's pain class. My students are always delighted with her teaching style and the material she offers. She's one of the BEST medical hypnotherapists in the country. Also, no pressure of course-- grin--, but the class is already over 1/2 full! Call me if you have any questions. 916-373-1932.

As for speculation... you're right, never a friendly night time buddy. And I know from personal experience. LOL I was on a panel once with a psychiatrist and an aroma therapist. Our topic was our approach to insomnia. It was an interesting experience. The aroma therapist was "my way or the highway" and quite snooty while the psychiatrist was quite warm and open to hypnosis. And, who knows, maybe the aroma therapist was just insecure or cranky. I've spent years working on quieting that darned negative inner chatter. Some EFT would be helpful...

I'll bet rather than seeing you as competition they'll end up asking about how you can help someone in their lives. Most people are wildly curious about hypnosis. Why would these people be any different? Have fun!

Katherine
