I have heard that people can be hypnotized covertly or openly through text alone. Is this possible? Any opinions on the subject would be very much appreciated.

Yes it is VERY possible. I do it all the time. If you want an example hit me up on skype, msn, or yahoo. My skype is emergeunited, yahoo = anst0ni0 and msn = sweeps420@hotmail.com

Yep,

People have been doing it for years.

One of my teachers, (Robert Masters) is a master of this art.
Erickson was moderately good at it too.

I have little skill in this area.

Although I did once write a book, called 'Becoming a Non Smoker - With or Without Hypnosis'
Where the main work was done purely by reading, and going into 'Trance' whilst reading.

I never actually published the book, but those who read the 'trance script' stopped smoking, and some noticed that the the whole process within the book, is a metaphor to help you make any changes in your life that you might want to make.

Writing is a very powerful mediun.

Thanks! Im going to be looking into this, It would be interesting to try!
Hi Spoon,

Would you like to experience "it" again?

Warmest regards,

Text Master
Hey spooneythegoon, I have an induction that I use as a prep for doing text trances. basically when you go to the site below, stare at teh spiral for a few mintues becoming aware of any changes (maybe vision, maybe breathing, and possibly some other stuff). after a few minutes of "zoning out" with teh spiral click teh link below the spiral and FOLLOW the directions and read SLOWLY.

The answer is yes it is possible, although very difficult to do covertly. Those that try the covert angle are usually the subject of ridicule and amusement behind their back by those it is attempted to be used on. Not saying that it can't be done to a hyper-sensitive subject if you are good enough, but the question is why would you want to?

Would share it with us? Even for a fee?

I'm with Susan! Fable, I love the script or script ideas you share...I would pay for that book if you were to offer it.

Hi Spooney,

As a marketing copywriter, I can assure you that it's possible to persuade people to take action via text alone. Whether or not I "hypnotise" people into buying my clients' services and products is probably open to debate. ;)

You are not being thick.

Well spotted.

Of course any hypnotist with a knowledge of "Quotes" will have spotted that.

But for the average reader, it will have gone past the conscious critical level.

I believe Allen Carr's Easyway To Stop Smoking book was based on this very technique (hypnosis through text)
Ha! Love the embedded messages in this, Fable. I've tried embedding text messages to people a couple of times, and it worked.
.c.
