Devin Scannura

The most enjoyable hypnosis audio experience and most beneficial one you've had and why?

I always love listening to hypnosis audios and I think I enjoy Dick Sutphens the most because they seem to be the most imaginative.
As for being effective, thats a toughie but I think I'll go with Paul Mckenna for that one.

I too get bored hearing modified Elman over and over, but most people are not trance junkies like us. They may listen to one or two recordings in a life time. But rather than telling us what to do, show us! Post your own recording.

Thanks Devin.

I guess investing $14.99 over 3 years (i.e 2 cents a day) is the best investment to become a millionnaire.
But I WILL get back to you in 3 years ;-)

One last thought I would like to feed in this discussion :
I feel really bored when those recordings choose the "nice tropical beach" as a soothing location. But then again, I live in Tahiti, so it's kind of dull when they describe what is going on outside your door.
I like the nice mountain lakes, though.

So to all of you making recordings, be creative ! Stand above the mass ! Forests, snowy landscapes, deserts at sunset... that would make our imagination work a little further :-D
Hi Lic,

I wasn't telling what to do, just suggesting...
I'm not into the making of audio, but some people here at HT are, like Devin, who initiated this discussion. Hence the suggestion to do something different.

Ah Tahiti, you're only like 2,000 miles away :D The scenery over here in Kaua'i is amazing and great for use in visualization/self-hypnosis in my opinion. Tahiti looks amazing!

Hi Jess,

Steve has made a few studio quality recordings in the past and his 'Self Hypnosis for Problem Solving' CD Set includes a few inductions done with the audience which you can follow along with in the comfort of your own mind; including an pleasant 'Pain Relief' induction.

For me Steve would be my favourite, followed by Mark Tyrrell (he's here on Hypnothoughts) then some of Bandler's work and some of McKenna's work. For effectiveness I prefer my own because they are made specifically for me. The main issue I have with most audio recordings is that they don't do what they say on the tin (many just relax me and are pleasant to listen to but haven't helped in any way) so I always think if you have a choice and want the best results make the track yourself.

I like the idea of a group with audio tracks. We can already put them in an audio player on our pages which is a helpful tool because people can just listen to the tracks without having to download them; and we can attach them to posts as well...

All the best

Dan

Hey Antonio, :)

Brooks as far as I know doesn't make straight up recordings but if you listen to any of his lectures you'll go into trance. Also I used to have one seminars in which he does a couple of group inductions....absolutely amazing!

Yea I agree, his marketing is terrible. However, that doesn't take away from him or his teaching. Which dvd set? The one I have is fantastic! :)

I've never listened to a brooks recording...never new that genius made recordings. In regards to Igor, I'll second that! Now we just have to get Aino over to our side ;) I know she doesn't like him because of his marketing (I don't blame her). I have a friend on the Island that has some of his DVDS..Amazing!

I usually listen to audios when I fall asleep and I think my favorites are anything by steve brooks or igor ledochowski. those seem to be the ones that work the best for me.
The only problem with Audios, if they are the mass produced ones are that they are not taylor made to suit the person concerned.
Hi Dan,

Thank you so much for the info. I am going to definitely check those out! Brooks really is one of the greats.

All the Best
