HypnoThoughts.com

the Free Hypnosis Social Network

Hi Guys-

Just writing a quick note to say I have been swamped so for the last month, but very soon I will be paying better attention.  It appears that in my absence the quality of conversations hasn't been hurt at all.  In fact, traffic and engagement in the site is up a little bit in the past few weeks.  That's great to see, because It's been hectic around here.  It's been a combination of cleaning up old messes, building new projects, and just a few too many clients these days, and I haven't been on top of this site like I usually am.  Here's what's going on:

  • The HypnoStore had one of a few upgrades, but in doing so it broke a permissions file with all the downloadable products, which means we've had to manually deliver all the downloadable purchases (that's a lot).  We are finally getting that under control.  Once we do, we are going to be able to upgrade that site to the 2.0 version that I've wanted finished for a few months.  I think it's finally going to be the site you guys will be excited to use.  More news on that from Fable and I when it's done.

  • Richard and I got the school up and running.  The response has been great so far with an overwhelming request for extension courses (a la carte classes rather than signing up for the full year).  He and I are figuring out how to make that work as well.

  • I'm still putting together the 2012 hypnosis census, but that got postponed by the two things above it on this list.  I'm thinking about pushing that back to March, but hope to get it out in the next few weeks.

  • I'm playing with a couple different ideas for this site that will bring in an entirely new set of resources and options, but want to do so in a way that won't overwhelm the site or distract from what has made this community work.  I may time that to launch with our 10,000 member in a few months.

  • I'm trying to only see fewer clients, but I keep getting really odd and interesting referrals, so I don't turn them down.

Okay, so that's it for me.  Glad you guys are running this site so well without me.  No real fights, arguments, or controversy.  Just helpful conversations.

You guys are awesome,

Scott
