Hi there, I’m quite new here and my English is not so good (is hard for me to think in English).
Soon I will start a new life in USA. For the moment, I live in Romania where I have a NLP certification (IANLP), I practice hypnosis, I graduate a 4 years university in psychology and educational science and a master in psychotherapy.
Now, I have some coaching programs that are working just fine.

So, can someone please tell me anything about what certifications I need to practice hypnosis and NLP in FL – USA?

Thank you

In Florida, unless you are state licensed as a mental helath professional, there are no certification requirments. Anyone with a sign can advertise and do hypnosis. (There is a specific requiremtn that those who hold a professional license take a 50-hour course). That being said, in Florida one who practices hypnosis should NOT hold themselves out at a hypnoTHERAPIST becasue the boards are agressive about making sure that those who are unlicensed do not practice therapy. Advertizing and offering services as an NLP Practitioner, and as a hypnotist (using what is refered to as guild standard terminology - should not cause anyone diffifulty.) Florida is also a little wacky about enforcing zoning laws and municipal business licenses, so make sure the building you see clients is zoned comercial and that you get a local business license.
The situation in Florida is actually complex, with two sets of requirements on for licensed people and one for unlicensed people. You would fall in the unlicensed catagory.
