What I'm asking is, aside from other therapies like NLP, EFT, CBT, that may or may not be done in trance. What types of hypnosis sessions are there besides direct suggestion, parts therapy, regression to cause?

Great question CindyLou, I was thinking about that just the other day. There are a lot of versions of each technique which seem to fit into the general categories you've mentioned. I might either add indirect suggestion as a separate category or a sub-category of suggestion. Conversational hypnosis and language patterns can also be filtered into several categories or have one of their own. It is going to be interesting on how people answer this, and I'm looking forward to it.

I do what I like to call make up as I go along therapy because it combines many methods, techniques used in variation and many things not used in other therapies or hypnosis. Everyone is situation is unique and so is my ways of dealing with it.
Tell me about "indirect suggestion", please Michael.
