Hi,

I'm getting ready to offer hypnosis practice sessions in Denver and would like to put together a list of resources for people who are interested in learning as much as they can about the study of hypnosis.

I'd like to ask you for the title of your favorite book on the topic?

Feel free to let me know if you have written one, too!

I look forward to your responses.

Have a great day!

Sheilah,
Although it is somewhat self-serving, I would have to include my E-Book "The Nature of Trance", that maps the entire hypnosis/trance mechanism, and provides the hows and whys of hypnosis and trance.

Monsters and Magical Sticks.

Love it.

By far, the best book is Trance-formations by Richard Bandler and John Grinder
Graham beat me to it. That's an excellent book. The Foreward alone is worth the price.

Hi Sheilah,

I have three suggestions - all very good books all especially for those learning:
Transforming Therapy - Gil Boyne
Unlock your mind & be free - Edgar A Barnett MD
Handbook of Hypnotic suggestions and Metaphors

Good luck & I hope you do well!

A book which I think is a great resource is " Frogs into princes" by John grindler and richard bandler. Its not about hypnosis excactly, but its full of resource and understanding, tools and techniques. Including trance states, body langauge and a very good read.

Tim Atyeo
Training Trances by Overdurf and Silverthorn.
Patterns Volume 1 by Bandler and Grinder.
Provocative Hypnosis by Rasmussen

Thanks for reminding me about your book at WizardOfTrance. I have good things about it before but didn't even think to write it down. I'm so glad you shared it again!

Best wishes to you!

Hi Greg,

That is a great book. In fact, as a teenager I stumbled on a copy for 50 cents at a second hand shop. I've been hooked ever since. Great suggestion.... I'd better write that one down!

Hi Sharon,

Thank you for your kind wishes. You mentioned one I've never even heard of, I'm going to have to order a copy of Unlock your mind & be free. The description on Amazon makes it sound like it could help almost everybody.

Wishing you the best!

Sheilah
