I am curious to know what peoples favorite inductions are? Do you have a different preferance for stage vs clinical? Or just for fun with friends? For me I have found I enjoy doing fixation inductions and I am getting fascinated with instant inductions.

Scott, I don't know anyone who uses the watch and what is a "traditional induction"? I think your thinking about NLP instead of a hypnosis.
I have met many proper hypnotist that use "old fashion “inductions”" I think your theory is not right.

Hi Karena,

No proper hypnotist that's keep up with the times uses old fashion “inductions”. I ceased using them a long time ago in favour of giving suggestion covertly during conversation.

Basically if I'm in a nightclub attempting to in trance some fit chick at the bar to go out with me, then waving a watch or any of the other traditional inductions are to exposed and obvious.

Warmest Regards

Scott
Gee, Scott, I'm pretty sure some proper hypnotists use hypnosis for many things other than picking up chicks. And I'm pretty sure a lot of them use that outmoded tool called an induction.

BTW, if you go after hypno-fetish chicks, you'd better own a pocket watch. They eat that schtick right up.

But what do I know? I'm not a PU artist.

Ohh
Probably the arm drop cuz it was my first successful induction :)
if i want to do some change work i use jonathan chase's version of the eye lock,
and for entertainment i use shok inductions like the hand drop and arm pull or i create an interesting induction at the moment which will be more satisfying to the person's expectations.

If it is a elman/stage style, I really like the magnetic fingers induction. If it were overall, I make things up as I go most of the time, but I would have to say I like hypnosis a lot, so many times I just go into a deep trance and talk. It seems to work really good and I enjoy it more and more each time. The zap induction is pretty cool too for places like Walmart. The fastest I have found would be confusion inductions, it takes about a half a second to a second if planned well and works in any environment with accuracy beyond most I have found. I would give some examples, but I have some things in the works and I do not want to ruin it for anyone.
i personally dont have any difference in performance and therapy inductions, as far as im concerned hypnosis is hypnosis no matter where you are doing it. that said i have 4 inductions that i use alot. the elman induction. the arm drop. dr flowers. and the three hand shake. i usually always test for eyelid catelepsy after every induction and use that as a deepener.
I have no favorite. There are too many to choose from. There are eye fixation and relaxation (progressive), misdirection and confusion (rapid), posthypnotic and shock (instant), transference, oscillation and guided imagery (gradual), techniques to name a few.
My favorite inductions to use are the non awareness set and confusion techniques.

Ultimately though, my favorite at any given time is whatever will work.
