Much of the discussion here focuses on asking for advice or ideas that are well-established, or squabbling about which of the well-established ideas is better than the others. There is a lot of value in that, obviously, for newcomers as well as seasoned members... still, why not try something different every now and then?

I'd like to hear your more experimental ideas about hypnosis; stuff that you perhaps haven't even quite thought through yet. Small things, big revolutionary stuff, whatever.

I'd love for the focus of the thread to be on the speculative rather than the critical aspect of theorizing. We have so many threads that focus on making, maintaining or changing opinions; let's focus on nothing but ideas for a change!

I'll start. My first (somewhat) wild idea is that suggestibility doesn't exist. Suggestions can be more or less effective with different clients/subjects, we all know that, but perhaps the client/subject is actually the least important part of the equation...?

What's your (somewhat) wild idea?
