Oh that sounds great Robin going to look into that. I know someone else does it for £65 but the amount you have to dig out for each claim is £500. Do you know what it is for yours?

Tamara, cant see any reference to any excess payment by me for any claim. Just a limit of £10m claim in any one insurance period

Be careful.

You need public liability which covers physical injury or loss, but the relevant insurance for nonevasive therapy and cognitive approaches is Professional Indemnity Insurance. Make sure you have that.
Don't forget if you work from home you need to inform your household insurers otherwise it could be totally invalidated - this also means your public liability insurance on your home is increased to cover clients entering and leaving the property/room you use.

Just joined Hypnothoughts and the UK Group and both look good.

I saw this discussion and wanted to add that a group of us in hypnotherapy in UK have set up a block insurance scheme with Balens which is underwritten by Zurich. We don't receive anything from it, financial or otherwise, it's just there for the benefit of therapists who want to take up cover at a cheaper rate. Normally this particular policy is £74 but because we've grouped together, we've got the same insurance from them at £54.50 Therefore not a cheap as Robin's Holistic Insurance Service but the main policy cover includes many benefits which may of may not be provided by Holistic. I don't wish to place the full details here because I don't want members to think I'm advertising or promoting something on this site, which I'm not, because as I mentioned before there's nothing in it for me or anyone connected to me. It's just for the collective benefit of all.

The Block scheme we got is open and available for all hypnotherapists. You don't need to join up to anything, it's simply there to offer any hypnotherapist discounted insurance. If you're interested you can contact me and I'll send you a link to the policy schedule so you can check it out. I don't want to place the link here because again, being new to Hypnothoughts I don't know the full extent of what is or isn't permitted, so I don't wish this to be construed as advertising! However if you feel it could  benefit you - let me know.

Equally if Holistic Insurance offers the same level of cover or more then perhaps a bunch of us might want to get together, approach them for a discounted deal and then switch to them next time round if it provides better cover at a cheaper price. So it would be good if you could let me know the full details of tHolistic's policy Robin
