Does any one have suggestions or experience working with clients who have Alzheimer's disease? I have a new referral from the son of a women who has mild to moderate short term memory loss. She suffers from recurring nightmares in regards to a young child that she lost over 50 years ago. The child/baby drowned in the river behind her house and was found by an older sibling. It sounds as if this loss and the grief was never resolved or dealt with, was suppressed for many years and now that she is developing Alzheimers the grief and memory is resurfacing.
My question is, can hypnotherapy deal permanently with this memory if she has short term memory loss and which is the best method to deal with it?

Thanks

Jane
