Request for advice on presenting EFT/Hypnosis to Veterans Administration & Vet organizations

I have had the opportunity to meet the Government Relations Director of the Mid America Chapter of Paralyzed Veterans of America. He is on the Executive committee for the Oklahoma Veterans Council as well.

After the new year he is putting me on the agenda as a guest speaker. He said all the veterans organizations as well as our congressional folks have reps there, and both directors from the VA hospitals in Oklahoma come as well!

I am hoping to be able to talk the chapter into letting me have (free) some small office space in their building to do sessions with vets. (I am a volunteer w/ Stressproject.org).

Additionally, I hope to gain exposure for paid sessions for EFT and Hypnosis as well. Further I am hoping this all will lead to a contract with the two V. A. Hospitals in the state. I do suspect a flood of need in the Veterans that are all finally coming home from deployment in Iraq soon.

I’m thrilled and scared to death about this opportunity to speak at this council in the coming year. So what I seek from you all is some guidance on how to present EFT/Hypno to this committee as well as to the PVA chapter with out getting too deep into it and reciting research after research...I need to be as detailed as possible, brief (1 hour) and convincing.

I have experience presenting EFT to alcoholics/addicts and have no qualms about doing that, yet they are not within the same realm as these in extremely powerful, professional positions.  Yes I will begin tapping/self hypno for my anxiety/fear etc in presenting to these groups and I know that God will be with me as well.

I want to develop an outline and site sources that will aid in a persuasive, professional presentation. How would you proceed ?

Thank you so much for your assistance !

Carol this is really great! You will be in my prayers as well.

My thoughts on this is to present some research on EFT for PTSD, as there is a lot of research on that. Use as good of mainstream research as you can, as that will make a better impression on this group.

I believe these people know that they need to provide quality help for these vets that are suffering from PTSD, and if you can show them that this is the most efficient and fastest way to get there, they will be impressed.

I will give you any other tips I think of in the future. Hopefully some of the others on this group have some wonderful ideas as well.

God Bless you!

Hi Carol,

Here is a resource for research: http://www.eftuniverse.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=ar...

I love Ingrid Dinter's work; she recently released a free audio with many tips about working with this special group of clients. You might also want to connect with Wally Garland wallyg55@hotmail.com, he has been working with our local VA to set us up doing some workshops with a Vietnam vet group.

Congratulations and thank you for helping our vets! I'd love to talk to you sometime about your experience with Stressproject...

I received a call and email from the makers of "the Tapping Solution" Nick Ortner ( via April) documentary as well as from the filmmaker of "Operation Emotional Freedom" documentary, Eric Huure....they are donating 50 copies of their films on dvd to me to distribute Tuesday , January 10th..

with my "big presentation"..!!!!!!! What a BLESSING !!!!

Congrats, Carol! I know you will do a wonderful job of sharing the power of EFT solutions for issues that veterans deal with. Thank you for all of your dedication to helping this well-deserving segment of our population. I look forward to seeing your presentation.
