Fire Circle At Laurieston Hall in August 2008. You can just see my left hand and foot (wearing flip flops) on the right of the top picture.
In the bottom picture, I am just right of centre (the one wearing only birthday suit, as I had just come out of the wood burning sauna).

Ha Ha Ha!

It is such a long time since I have been in here.

I wanted to join in a story, or start a story, but have been waiting for the right moment.

Not yet, but nearly there.

Welcome to the Fireside - Michael,

Your story is so coyote ,,,

FYI -- There are coyotes running free in NYC -- or it could be the same coyote making multiple appearances--

Michael "I thought I saw a freaking coyote - there goes another one..." E.

Thanks for that Michael,

And welcome to the fire circle.

As you can see it has sbeen a bit quiet around here for quite some time, I know that people people keep lokking in from time to time, reading through the past thread, and I imagine waiting for someone to kick start things again.

every so often someone will tell me that they are working on a follow on for one of the threads...

or that they have an idea for a new thread, and they will start it off soon...

Every so often someone will send me a message asking why there are no contributions, and when am I going to do something?

your contribution of the 'Wiley coyote' story is very welcome.

I have a fair bit of 'Coyote Medicine' mixed with Frog and Wolf

love and hugs,

This was told to me at a campfire by the medicine man of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe in
Washington State.
One day, coyote pup was curious about the world, so he ventured off to see what he could see. He saw many animals that looked very different from himself, until he saw one that looked a lot like him and his kits, but just a little older, so he went up to say hello. "Hi Coyote!", pup yipped. But the other just replied smuggly, "I'm not a Coyote. I'm Another One". Pup, confused said, "You are Coyote, just like me". "No, I'm Another One", Back and forth this went on. Finally, the elder one said, "Look, I'll prove it to you. Follow me." So he followed him to the edge of a clearing, and in the clearing was a big camp of men, talking and making fire. The elder said, "OK, I want you to run through that camp and out the other side real fast. Don't stop, but listen to what they say. Then I will run through and you listen to what they say". "If I am right, you will catch mice for me for as long as I say." "Agreed", Pup said. How can I lose? He thought.
So off little Pup ran as fast as he could. When he got into the camp, Pup could hear men startled and shouting loudly, "Look. A Coyote!". Next came the elder animal, and the people began shouting, "...and there goes Another One!".
So, to this day, Coyote rarely hunts alone, but always hunts for Another One.

A warm welcome to some recent new members to the fireside:
Sheilah, Kathleen, Matthew, Lance, Scott (Cooper) and Walt.

It has been a little quiet round here for a while, but don't let that stop anyone, from joining in.

So feel free to make yourselves at home, and whenever you feel it appropriate, 'throw another log on the fire.

If you have not already familiarised yourself with the format, then a good place to start is by reading one of the threads in the discussion forum. I would suggest:
http://www.hypnothoughts.com/group/fablesfiresidestorytellingcircle...

Although the general format is to to build a cooperative (and hopefully healing) story by adding short intallments to an existing thread, or starting a fresh thread if you feel you want to.
if you have a stand alone story that you want to add, do feel free.

MIchael has kindly just contributed one such story on behalf of Kent, who I understand might be about to join us.

I hope a few people will join me in welcoming him when he does, I think one of the best ways of making others feel wecome here is to respect their contributions, and join in the spirit of sharing.
remember it is not a competition, so we are not aiming to top each others contributions, but to add to and to compliment them, in our own unique style.

Love and hugs,

Fable

hi Scott,

I haven't seem much tree hugging going on in this group so far, but do't let that stop you, if that is what you are into, all kinds are welcome, as long as yu stick to the guidelines for the group.

Make sure after you have hugged your tree, that you cut a few branches off to keep the fire burning.

It looks a little, from your question, that you have not yet read the threads.
I reccomend you start with:
http://www.hypnothoughts.com/group/fablesfiresidestorytellingcirclecooperatition/forum/topics/welcome-to-the-fire-circle-1 as that sets the tone, and the groundrules, for the circle.

Love and (man) hugs,

Welcome to the fireside Scott,

You are the first new member here for quite some while, and it has been Quiet here for a bit.

Make youself at home, read through any or all of the past threads, at your own easy pace.

Feel free to put a log on the fire, whenever you feel it needs one.

I look forward to a bit of rekindling.

LOve and hugs,
