Soon, the soldiers and guards were getting hungry and as there had been no attack, one by one they slipped out of the castle and joined their friends and relatives. And every day more and more people would come as near as they could and shout for the King to let down the drawbridge.

Eventually there was only the king left in the Castle and all the food was gone. He was facing the prospect of stagnation and starvation and death all alone. One day he decided that if he was going to die, he wanted to die like a king. so he let down his drawbridge and left his barbican to meet his maker.

The people were so pleased to see their King that they flocked towards him. He mistrusted and feared death from everyone he met. But his loyal people fed him and nursed him back to full health. He was awakened from his nightmare, and he vowed never to enter his prison again.

He was so grateful to his people for their support and love, that he promised to give each person in his realm a gift to whatever they wanted most. He asked the people around him what they wanted. They said:
" You can only give that which you have. First of all, take stock of what you have, and when you are aware of what you have then you’ll know what you can give to each person."

So... The King decided to survey the whole of this wonderful kingdom. Setting off an easterly direction, he travelled for more miles, and discovered more things than you could possibly imagine.He was so grateful to his people for their support and love, that he promised to give each person in his realm a gift to whatever they wanted most. He asked the people around him what they wanted. They said:
" You can only give that which you have. First of all, take stock of what you have, and when you are aware of what you have then you’ll know what you can give to each person."

At the end of the years journeying, he came to a high wall. On the other side of the wall were guards who said:
" You may not pass! you have reached the eastern boundary of your land beyond this wall there are fierce warriors who will eat you alive and plunder your kingdom. To the King, this had a familiar ring. He remembered well his isolation in the castle, and his vow never to return to that prison. He pinched himself to make sure he wasn’t dreaming, and shouted to himself: " wake up! It’s safe! You're free to enjoy your wonderful kingdom!"
The guards thought that he was shouting at them. and hearing the truth in his message they too shouted to the people behind the wall: " Wake up! it's Safe" you are free to enjoy the wonderful kingdom!!". And every person that heard it echoed the message. The noise grew louder and louder and louder. In fact the noise grew so loud that the wall began to crumble and the King walked through and was welcomed.

The King gave each person he met in the 'new province' an open invitation to share his Wonderful Kingdom, and make it their own.

In the new province, he met wise old woman, and he asked of her, what gift he should give to the people of his own Kingdom. The wise woman said: "As you already know, you can only give that which you already have. You should also know that, all that you give is given to yourself. Give to others only what you wish to accept for yourself. "
The King said: "Since I want to experience peace, love and freedom these are the only gifts I would give to others. It is not charity on my part to offer love to others in place of attack, rather offering love is the only way I can accept love for myself. "

So the King returned to the centre of his Kingdom, and it seemed that there was a light shining all around him like a beacon. Everyone he met saw the light and felt its message.

He spent the rest of his long and happy life exploring and expanding the boundaries of his wonderful kingdom.

And, lest people forget, he had his craftsmen create a special alarm clock which was installed in the highest tower of what was his castle. Every morning it's message could be heard throughout the wonderful kingdom:
"WAKE UP ! IT'S SAFE!! I LOVE YOU UNCONDITIONALLY !!!
NOW IS THE TIME TO RECLAIM YOUR FULL, BENIGN POWER !!!!
YOU'RS FREE !!!!!
YOU HAVE NO LIMITS !!!!!!
WAKE UP !!!!!!! IT'S SAFE!!!!!!!!

And that's when the bus hit him?

the bus came to a screeching halt as the king lay in the dust.......bruised but unhurt... it was as if he had stepped beyond the illusion of time itself .....slowly, slowly he watched as the doors of the bus opened......... hardly able to believe his eyes...

As out from the bus, came a team of paramedics.

"We heard that you might be having an accident" they said, "so we came in this magic bus, to make sure that you were alright."

They checked him over, and verified that he was still basically in good shape to rule the kingdom. But when lisetning to his heart with their magical stethascope, they came up with the most remarkable discovery! ....
