Gastric Band Hypnosis Is The Latest Fad in Hypnosis to Get hypnotists to shell out their hard earned bucks and hopefully capitalize on a new niche ... but is it really NEW? The fact is, John Jacobsen, a Silva Method Lecturer for a good 20 years has been doing Gastric Band Hypnosis for over 10 years, but much more evolved than the present offerings. Where he differs is, it was an actual documented program he did in alliance with Lord's Hospital of Philadelphia. Of course, like a lot of really great hypnotists operating quietly out there, he wasn't such a great marketer. Hi Kimberley,

 

Long time no see, hope life and business are treating you well?

 

There are many great Gastric Band Courses out there (inlcuding Kimberleys) but I just wanted to draw everyones attention to the Legal and Health and Safety issues that surround Gastric Band Hypnotherapy.

 

I'm told by Wilf Archer who is the only UK Hypnotherapist that has Two Royal Charters for Health and Safety and also happens to be the Health and Safety Competant person for the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC) that most all of the Gastric Courses he has taken a look at (lots of them) do not teach the legally required Health and Safety elements to the correct level or often not in the correct manner or depth.

 

So for those who want to remain legal and safe in all you do, whatever system you are currently using or choose to use I'd advise you to take a serious look at Wilf Archers "Health & Safety" Legaly complient work on the subject

Hi Marion

I personally would record the gastric band hypnosis session with an option for her to actually place the band herself that way shes in control of it but make sure that there is a post suggestion that she leave at the very least a golf ball sized pouch or it wont work that ways shes not likely to make it dangerously small.

Hi everyone i have done the gastric band hypnosis on a friend for my practice before going 'live'. How many times do you do the operation? I have done the actual 'op' on her and adjustment....the 1st week she lost 5lb....then after adjustment she put on a lb. Should I enforce the band again? please help? :-)

Good afternoon folks,

I am wondering about peoples feelings on getting paid upfront for gastric band hypnosis programme. Its lovely to get paid at the start but is it always necessary? Does non-payment at the start mean that a successful outcome is less likely? I have a reason for asking as I do because a good family friend with very little financial resources is looking for my help. I am only too happy to help them (and regardless I will do so) and I do know well their financial situation. At a certain level however I am afraid of devaluing what it is I do.

As always I appreciate your thoughts

Well I have done it, 4 sessions, and the clients have lost 4 stone and 5 stone, I keep in touch with them but hey, I'm putting this down as a win,

I have found scripts for gastric band hypno operation and adjustment, but can't find one for removal....is there one? would be grateful for help please :-)

Hi Steve, how did you train for this was it on a training course or c.d. or what i am interested in offering this type of work to clients. but want to do a proper job and understand it properly before starting to offer it
