the Free Hypnosis Social Network
Hi
I have some small starting problems.
I'm not the best to make ads, i have a little on my adwords account, i got from google. But i don't like to target my self as an expert in a niche when, i don't have any experience. I only know what i got from my education, books, videos, and here, so if i get a client for a niche like ibs i really dont know what to do.
I dont have money to advertise, that im just a hypnotist in the town.
I have a homepage and i get from time to time a visitor, got a few that have mailed me but they didn't convert to clients.
I dont have a big network, that can give me mouth to mouth advertising.
So what i need is some clients, so i can get some experience, maybe find a niche, get some money so i can advertise, so i can get more clients and mouth 2 mouth, and get a full time practice.
I think that my plan.
But i dont know how i get over the first mountain, get clients from nothing...
have you any ideas?

Once you got your 1st satisfied customer, you have a network which can be leveraged. Some practices have 80% of their new businesses as referrals. [kind of like a perpetuity]
as you get more experience, you will profile your "best" customers and naturally target them in your marketing as well as your communications to "convert" them
Let the market demand (in your location and time) determine your niche not the other way around.

and hopefully i get some success
what keywords should i go for? just top keywords and out bid all others

Permalink Reply by Kelley Woods on April 24, 2011 at 12:23pm Go to your local newspaper and offer to give a free workshop to the staff for stress relief. Have your contact information available at the workshop for people who are interested in private sessions.
Be enthusiastic and friendly, and tell some good jokes. I would be surprised if the paper did not want to do a feature article about you and hypnosis!
Permalink Reply by Anders jensen on April 24, 2011 at 1:47pm Word of mouth works well. Talk to everybody you can and let them know what you can do, then show them. Demo your skills. As you get people talking about your abilities, those who need, want or desire your offering will ask for help.

Permalink Reply by Vince C on April 24, 2011 at 1:49pm google always gives out free coupons. ( I offer this group a $100 coupon last month) vistaprint offers $25, some web hosters offer $50.
budget $5 a day at first.
bid on keywords + geographic location
for example:
hypnosis Frederikssund
hypnosis hovedstaden
hypnosis copenhagen
as you get clients plow back some of the profit back into the campaign increasing budget until saturated.
Rank ur keywords and use the best ones to improve your ads as well as organic searches.
Be congruent with who you are and the type of clients you want.

Permalink Reply by Anders jensen on April 24, 2011 at 2:15pm Be with a purposeful plan. Just giving only a free presentation is nearly worthless until it is combined with another strategy to get clients. Just handing out a business card without a great pitch is throwing money into the wind. Organize your thoughts before you hit the pavement.

Before I became a hypnotherapist, I spent 25 years in sales.
I would recommend checking out www.meetup.com
Here you will find all sorts of groups meeting for various reasons. Find some that you are interested in and get involved! People will hire you when they know you! Put yourself out there!
Find some business networking groups where each person introduces themselves. This will give you a chance to stand up and tell everyone what you do.
Try putting small pin up posters with tear off phone numbers on free bulletin boards. (Laundromats usually have them)
Go to your office supply company and get a name tag with your clinic name on it...and wear it everywhere! (as long as you are dressed properly)
look for a charity that you can connect with a give a free "smoking cessation with hypnosis session" as a fundraiser. this usually will get media attention
Write articles for local newspaper or magazine.
A lot of the service clubs are looking for speakers for their weekly meetings and their websites usually have a place to get listed. see Lions Club, rotary, Knight of columbus..etc.
I hope some of this helps.

Now as to google, It can work, but it won't make you a busy hypnotist that can generate six figure income or more per month, and sure there are many ways to do videos for free such as youtube, but even youtube wont help you get that much business, because once new or potential clients go to your youtube, they will become distracted with other youtube's on the side...
I own my own online web-tv channel without you-tube distractions, and I can go online when ever I want and start my own live training.
