Does anyone use online software that allows clients to book a time slot with a therapist? I have seen web sites that show when the therapist is available, so you can book one (subject to email confirmation), but I know nothing of the software behind the system.
Can anyone recommend one?
Thanks!

I don't use anything like that, but I would imagine you could use Google Calendar that way. It's pretty flexible in what you can do with it.
Permalink Reply by Rick Paddock on November 17, 2011 at 4:00am I use TimeTrade & love it! It integrates with Google calendar, is only $49/year, and has made scheduling much easier for me. I have a link on my email signature, web site, and LinkedIn profile. It has brought me many new clients without a phone call from them - they just click & schedule!

They can book an appointment online and cancel the appointment online. It sends them a reminder of their appointment automatically. You can download an Excel file of all your clients contact information.

I've tried a bunch of them. I finally ended up going back to Appointy.com. It's reasonable. It's evolving, so they add new features and they offer screen sharing no-fee technical support in how to use the system.
They include a free, basic plan which I like but I have bumped up to the Pro package because I like its features. They are nice but not necessary, so take a look at it.

Permalink Reply by Dennis Atkinson on November 17, 2011 at 9:22am Bill: I use an online program called Schedulicity ... in fact, I have a button built into the top of each page of my website that states Schedule Now where a person can click on the button, and schedule their own appointment. What is nice about the program is it sends an email to both you and the client confirming the appointment.
It has worked out really well. I don't have a receptionist, so if I am with a client or away from the office there is no one to answer the phone. So what clients can do, and I encourage this, is visit the website, click on the schedule button, and they can schedule their own appointment. This holds true for people when in my office when they are unsure of their schedule ... I just hand them a business card, point out the website address, and let them choose an appointment convenient for themselves.
If you are interested, visit the Scheulicity website. I believe the first month is free so you can give it a shot to see how you like it. I found out about them through my daughter. She owns her own spa, and has used this program for years. It also allows you to perform email marketing if you are so inclined.
