Hi guys!!
Ok well a run down of me, I am currently half way through my diploma in clinical practice and loving it!! Started to advertise and was wondering the best way to go?? Should I start slow all go full steam ahead, I say this as I am contacting radio stations, using a 2 step marketing system for refferals ect to advertise and just want some feed back on peoples personal experiances and what did and didn't work for them. Also the best areas to branch out too, is it too soon for group sessions?? I already have a few clients onside as well!!

Congratulations on your degree, your studies and starting out.
Big or Small.
Big really does sound great, however, I would advise to aim for MEDIUM. I know that sounds funny. However, there is so much to learn in terms of doing the BUSINESS of HYPNOSIS that you will learn massively in the first 6 months of having clients regularly.
First, you are in Australia. Each country, region, state or province really seems to vary with public acceptance of hypnosis. Is it considered woo-woo only? A medically recognized modality?
Radio stations:
advertising? or being interviewed by them on air as part of the show?
Group Sessions:
Is an excellent way to start, continue, grow, and flourish at any stage of your career.
Look around you in your local community for venues where you could do a hypnosis group introduction session where they already have people coming to the venue. Then you can leverage their platform of people already.
In many ways, the more groups you do and can get in front of, the better. Because you want to have many MANY people familiar specifically with YOU as well as hypnosis and who think you are FANTASTIC, LOVE YOU, WANT TO WORK WITH YOU MORE, and loved working with you SO MUCH that they refer all of their friends and family to you whenever they have a problem.
I have a few AU hypnosis buds at FB. Are you over there? If yes, go ahead and friend me there, and I'll introduce you to them. Having contacts in your area without feeling like you are "competition" can be great and can mean all the difference in terms of how much help people will happily share with you.
