Hi all.  I am looking for quick resources, whether they be book, CD, download, etc.  I am a CHt as well as an RN, and my daughter has recently decided she would love for me to help her delivery with hypnosis. The challenge is that she is due next month :-)  (Don't we love our children!?)  The second challenge is that she lives 1300 miles away for pre-delivery work. All suggestions welcomed!

How fun to see so many people connecting child birth and hypnosis.  Yeah, there's hope for the future.   Eric,  too bad about your wife's belief, but as all of us know the mind is amazingly powerful.  If she denies hypnosis it likely won't happen for her.  Trust both your son and wife are healthy.

My son was just born 2 1/2 weeks ago - would have loved to help my wife with hypnobirthing, but she's convinced she can't be hypnotized.  ;-)

My mom had me with self-hypnosis back in the 70s. Doctors kept asking if she taught Lamaze classes.

Hi Everyone,

As a birth "junkie" myself, I am so glad I found this group! Looking forward to sharing an learning more! Just FYI, I have been a doula for 12 yrs, a hypnobirthing practitioner for 10 yrs and a hypnotist for 8 yrs. I came from "birth" to "hypnosis", not the other way around. Now focusing on re-forming the world of birth professional to the concept of undisturbed birth and heightened awareness with my great friend and co-conspirator, Barbara Harper!

Born with Hypnosis in 1963, Had my own daughter with Hypnosis in 2007. I'm also a trainer for the HypnoFertility Foundation. Even though it's been a smaller part of my practice, It's definitely how Hypnosis found me!!

Hello, I just joined this group. I have been working with mothers-to-be since 2002. Happy to discuss anything related. My URL is stressfreechildbirth.com This work comprises about a quarter to one third of my practice. It is wonderful to be able to be involved with young people at this very exciting phase of their lives. It makes a great break from the "heavier" hypnotherapy sessions that make up the rest of my week.

Thanks! I will let you know. I think she still has 5 or 6 months to go, so it will be a while. But that gives plenty of time to get her ready!
