Hi all.  I am looking for quick resources, whether they be book, CD, download, etc.  I am a CHt as well as an RN, and my daughter has recently decided she would love for me to help her delivery with hypnosis. The challenge is that she is due next month :-)  (Don't we love our children!?)  The second challenge is that she lives 1300 miles away for pre-delivery work. All suggestions welcomed!

Hi Janet,

What an exciting time for  you both!  The GentleBirth homestudy program would be really easy for you both to follow even with the timeframe you're working with.  Your daughter can download the Mp3s today and I can send you on an extra guidebook so you are both on the same page.  Hypnosis for birth is such a fantastic tool for birth.  A year ago last week I gave birth to my beautiful 10lb 7oz baby boy calmly and for the most part quite comfortably.

Do you use Skype to talk to your daughter?  You can skype some of your sessions together (it's a useful tool for keeping up with the grandkids. :)    Hypnoskype is great especially if you have a camera for video conferencing.

The website is http://www.GentleBirth.com  - just shout if I can help you and your daughter.  I've been teaching the program for 5 years and it's the most wonderful job in the world. It's a huge part of my Midwifery studies and really does make a difference in how Moms experience their births.

Best wishes for a wonderful birth.

Hi Janet,

How wonderful!

I also have some resources which may help on my website www.birthdownload.com.  I have free videos and downloads (some for special circumstances if you need them).  I also offer a full programme called "The Psychology Of Giving Birth" - if you feel as though you would benefit from some or all of this programme then get in touch and we can have a chat about providing what you need.

The resources I provide are based on some elements of HypnoBirthing, plus other Hypnotherapy techniques, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Human Givens, NLP and of course my own birth.

Feel free to get in touch if there's something you need which you can't find anywhere as I have quite a few contacts.

Good luck and I hope you enjoy the journey too :-)

Take care

Juliet

Juliet  isn't the Human Givens approach fantastic!  It should be a must read for everyone involved in healthcare promotion.
