Greetings! I have studied Hayashi-Ha shito-ryu karate (traditional Okinawan style) for nearly 8 years, just about as long as I have studied hypnosis. I have a shodan (first degree) black belt and…Continue

What principles from martial arts have a parallel in hypnotism?

Hypnosis and Martial Arts are my two main passions. I find many areas of overlap between the two arts. Often things I learn from MA have an obvious parallel with my hypnotic technique and help me…Continue

Anthony, thanks for posting that link! I loved reading Gary's account of how he hypnotized and then sparred with his client. That's taking our work to the next level!

Benjamin, I imagine a skilled hypno could turn that type of impression into a great belief that hypnosis could also help a competitor win! The truth is that others' energy can influence us; how we deal with that is the question!

Ugh, I just saw this article. I'm not sure how many of you watch MMA, but Fedor (one of my favorite fighters) faught and lost of the past weekend. Now his management is blaming it on 'psychics'. The end of the interview has an interview with a hypnotist that makes hypnotism seem like all powerful magic:

With your new and improved attitude you are a WINNER not matter what the outcome of your matches are -- Remember to put the fun and joy of doing your best into it

Hey Friends,

I'm off for the weekend to a regional tournament and wanted to say that for the first time, I am looking forward to it in a light hearted way! Do not mistake that for a lack of intention to do my best, tho...

I have spent some time in trance state reframing my approach to such events and I feel the difference. It's no longer a chore but a valuable experience in which I am fortunate to participate.  ~ K

I think many of you will be interested to read the latest and other blog posts from Gary Turner. He is a pro fighter, multiple times world champion as well a successful trainer. He uses hypnosis in quite a unique way with his clients.

I am sure he would appreciate your feedback.

Ohh Kelley, you are so kind :) yes the video is pretty awesome. I meant to say,  When they are ready, the sound of the buzzing fly sounds like a music to their ears lol but I guess it start with the vision too :)

May I adopt your idea and post this vedio on my free online diversity website?

Hi Doreen,

I'm glad you enjoyed that video. I thought it was pretty awesome myself. Of course, I'm not surprised that you have also developed such an angle...the ability to eliminate distraction is a developed art, and you are an artist!

Best wishes,

Kelley

Hi Jeff,

I suggest to post a discussion here to get some ideas for your prison program! I'll be interested to hear them myself...
