Thank you so much for this link, and for the discussion, you were very interesting. I really hope there will be more NHS provision for this service. I am working with someone with Crohn's  disease at the moment, his Dr said that he wished he had the money to send everyone with the illness for hypnotherapy, until then, its only for those who can afford to pay.

Hi Lindsay,

Thanks for your support.

Is this GP not joining a consortium where he can influence and choose what services to commission?! For years, all GP surgeries have provided access to, if not directly provided, counselling, in their surgeries. Hypnotherapy really doesn't have to be different from this.

Hi Henxy

The GP is not great, his hospital consultant is wonderful and very open to anything that will help his patients. We are arranging to meet next month, so hope I can report back with good news then!

In that case, why is he still with a GP who is not helping him?! The GP gets paid just to have him on his books!

Best of luck with the consultant; they tend to be more open to what will help their patients... but they don't have to pay for it, so I guess you can see where the GP may be coming from!

Let us know how you get on, and if I can help you x

Hi Henxy

Good interview!  You got over loads of info...but why did she keep on about hypno-bands?

Thanks, Mr M.

Who knows what goes through the mind of a radio presenter?! ;-)

She did say as I left that she would now try some hypnotherapy...

Way to go!
