Hypnosis On Stage

A group for stage hypnotists to discuss the issues of the day, exchange ideas, techniques and skits. Moderator: Lee Darrow, C.H. Official Hypnotist to Sandals & Beaches Resorts

Ground Rules

Okay, since this is a group about stage hypnosis, but not for selling your shows, here are a few ground rules:

1) Please show respect to all members by not spamming the group with pleas for bookings, agencies or gigs. If you want to do that, feel free to start a group dedicated to marketing stage hypnosis.

2) No multiple conversations on the same topic. If you post multiple conversations with the same content, you will get One Warning, ONE suspension and then you will be removed from the group.

3) Please show respect to all members of the group, even if you disagree with them. Argue issues and ideas, not people and personalities.

4) Have FUN!

5) SHARE

6) Lastly, this is not the place for arguments about whether stage hypnosis is "ethical" or "proper" or not. Take that as a given for this group. If you disagree - fine, but please... this is NOT the place for it.

Hi Jonathan Royle,
I don't want to be rude, but why don't you open your own group instead of crashing in other peoples group and advertising yourself, this is so outraged behavior and so disrespectful, and I am wandering why here, why there, and why not starting your own group, wouldn't that be nicer thing to do?

Just my two cents,

I was wondering if anyone has seen Rich Guzzi's show before. He is coming into town next week and I will probably go see him but I was hoping to get some reviews of what his show is like. He is performing Thursday thru Monday with Sunday's show being hsi XXtreme show. Any comments would be appreciated.

Hi Douglas,

There is a surprising amount to learn, which is fine if you enjoy the whole performer lifestyle.

I would initially start by doing some free shows (charity, fetes, etc) once semi-competent to gain much needed experience.

Warmest Regards

Scott

Hi Stage Hypnotists,
I just joined the group, as I am intrigued with the art of stage hypnosis. Having just lost my day job as an engineer, I may have time to make a go of it.

The discussions on the wall are so fragmented that it is starting to look rather scruffy.

Can members please use the Discussion Forum provided above for topic related subjects.

Dear members: I see material for at least six or seven different discussion threads on this wall; especially since so many postings here are deserving of specific reply. Is there some way to shift or edit these comments into connnected threads? And might we have a link over to Justin James' vital "Stage Hypnosis and the insurance industry" discussion over in a whole 'nother group? Or copy it and add it to our selection here? I'm off to start some discussions now, toodeloo.

Thank you Scott, That is my understanding, too--if there is a lawsuit they can only go after the business not the personal property. I am leaning towards starting as a sole proprietorship and converting to LLC as I complete the paperwork [which is…

I was a sole proprietorship for quite a while before I switched to an LLC. From what I understand (and I'm no legal expert) the real difference is just protection from lawsuits and bankruptcy. With an LLC it is a separate entity and not actually con…
