I have had friends ask if I would be willing to do a home party and analyze dreams for their friends. They would have their friend bring in a detailed dream for interpretation. Does this sound like it is doable? How much time should be allocated to each person?

I'm thinking this would be an excellant way to pass out cards and get my name out there. Pros and Cons?????

We did dream interpretation during my training. What we did was have the "client" bring a written dream for us to interpret. They read the dream to us outloud. Then they were hypnotized and we read the dream back to them. Then we began to ask the meaning of the parts of the dream.

I thought of 2 hours as a max also. So about 4-5 people could take part, depending on how quickly they were hypnotized and how long their dream was.
Hiya Shirley,
I have done two dream interp parties. Small groups .. one was six people ... and the other one was 8. I tried to keep it at 20 mins a person. I explained that before hand... and if they wanted more indepth.. they could book a privat3re session. Typical two hours time. Of course you can be as strict on that as you wish. I did get call backs on both parties for full private sessions. Smiling .. Yes I handed out my cards of course. The Cons I see to these are simple .. Medical types do not like to mix Hypnotherapy with the meta aspects .... or things like dream interpretations that don't use hypnosis.
Just a thought.... for you .. it's been awhile since I did both of those... I started a full time job and found my time limited.

I also think it'd be a great way to get cards out there and build rapport before a full-on session for follow up or other more complex issues.

I don't so much do the dream interpretations as I do eye readings. I look into a person's eyes and I can see their soul path and their primary life issue pretty well crystal clear. I give what insights I glean for what value they may have to the person being read. 20 minutes max for this non-trance activity is the most per person, and usually 10 mins will do.

Point is, whatever modality you feel familiar and comfortable with will generate clients, as you'll naturally be in your zone. It'll exude confidence and safety to your potential clients, and is a great ice-breaker, allowing a "safe target" (the dream) to let loose on without the person internalizing judgment; after all, it's (just) a dream! .

Sounds fun!

I like the idea and you can incorporate hypnosis and network to get hypnosis clients from the meetings. Great idea I would do it especially if you have people wanting the parties it's a niche you can go with.
Greg that sounds so interesting for so many reasons. First of all, how do you spin it to turn the reading into a positive if/when you see somebody denying their path and going in the opposite direction or resisting the drive to become who and what they are really meant to be?
And how receptive are people to being "read"?
Love to find out more!

Hi there Cole,
I guess it's like when someone is really a heartless coward, for instance, but they pretend to be a good caring person. Maybe the truth will come out eventually.
