I have in my party tricks kit the ability to very quickly bring on a state of "drunkenness" in a person but wonder about the affect this may have on an alcoholic. We do not always know who in a group may have hidden issues or conditions and I would hate to trigger a negative after effect, in this scenario, an alcoholic binge.

As a responsible hypnotist I accept it is my responsibility to screen participants and to ensure all suggestions from the event are removed prior to leaving only the agreed beneficial suggestions with the participants. (sorry couldn't resist that little word play).

The effect is rather wonderful and can be quite humourous as the person has all the sensations of inebriation without the after effects. It is a popular "trick" because of this and is generally very safe.

I do wonder if this is the case with someone suffering from alcoholism?

Comments welcomed
