Hello everyone and what a great idea!. I have a question as to what induction you use for the group or do you hypnotize each person seperatly or as a group?
I've only done one party so far. I've been charging $150.00 for a show and I treated the party as a show. It was for the local area firefighters and there were about 150 people. I was a last minute fill in replacing a magician and no one knew I was coming. I still managed to overcome the fear that shot up when I was announced. Too many little kids, and I also made the mistake of giving them a brief break while I set up the stage area, and let people leave the party. I got paid, told how wonderful the show was and was invited back next year. Out of the four shows I have done this was the hardest but I learned a lot about being a suprise guest..

I do pendulum parties so there isn't really an induction per se, but there definitely is trance. Plus, with fancy pendulums, booklets and charts, there is plenty of stuff to sell. So, my 25 bucks per head can easily be doubled.
I do "Psychic Makeover" parties - the hostess chooses from tarot, reiki, or hypno themes in advance. There is a direct relationship between number of people and length of time available, so I tell my hostesses (so far no men have volunteered to host one of these, go figure) to calculate based on 10-15 minutes per person. 6-8 people fills up a couple of hours. Guests are asked to pay per minute for tarot or reiki, and to make a minimum donation for rapid induction stress relief hypnosis. In all cases, the hostess goes first at no charge.

In today's economic climate tarot and stress relief are extremely popular, I find. CDs and gift certificates are available to buy, cards and literature are available to take, and I try to get everyone to sign up for the mailing list.

I'd love to add face reading and tea leaf reading to the list of options, but right now I still need the book in hand, so probably not the best business venture just yet!
Hypnosis weight loss parties are done as a group or you would be there all day. I also put a min. on the amount of people in order to do the party Usually 6+ and then charge a price of 55-75 pp. I bring in the music for the induction and explain the process to the group and then hypnotize them..it's great and easy...
hope this helps...

Hi, Patty,
I have never used pendulums with group hypnosis. How would you go about that? Would you supply the pendulums, or let them borrow them. Or do you use just one pendulum for the whole group? I would be eager to hear how you do this, as I plan on doing a group induction at a store where they sell pendulums. I already have some ideas and would love some tips from you.

I haven't done a party yet and I have thought about this format as a way promoting myself and hypnosis and as a means of fund raising for the the Qld Cancer Fund or for the P&C at the local school. I was considering setting a donation fee of $10 but perhaps this should be higher so that they recognise they are not getting "nothing for nothing" but "something special for something"

As I hope the numbers might be over 20 I would get one of my hypno friends to help so she could help identify the group members needing closer attention.

As for the induction I have a group induction filed away from my training days that worked really well with my son and a few of his friends - it is very Elman in approach nothing permissive about it.

Happy parties

I use the EKG induction that Geoff Ronning teaches. I now use it in all my shows when I do them so it was an natural for these parties. I like it because it allows you to easily adjust for a group and circumstances. It is a form of Elman, Erickson, Kein and Geoff. You can check it out at his website. I have done some past-life regression parties, with six to ten people, per party I charge $50 per person. I hypnotize, and regress everyone. I awake everyone, and have them write out their past life experience. We then share our past-lives stories, and somes laughs.
I do Past Life Regression Dinner Parties in several formats. The host is free; the attendees all pay the fee. If it's more than 10 people, I bring another Hypnotist to assist. I use specific Karmic Set-Ups for specific general situations, and the group picks one. I give four or five options, depending on the group and their rapport. The group has to agree on the belief in Karma and sign waiver, of course. No wine or alchohol until after. We all eat dinner together, and I explain what Hypnosis is, etc. Then I give all attendees a coupon for sessions with me. VERY fun!
Rusty can you explain what you do at a "Pendulum Party". Where do you purchase the pendulums, booklets and charts?
Hi Elisabeth,

I can imagine with a tarot and hypno themed party what you would do but what do you do with the Reiki? Do you do Reiki healing on all the individuals? Or show them how to Reiki? Or something else?
