Hello,
One thing I've realized from watching video of my recent shows is that the ending feels a little weak.
Mind you, I know to make my last skit really good--either the ten-year kiss or something to get everyone up and dancing--but after that, there's a post-hypnotic suggestion (to shout "Best Show Ever" anytime they hear someone say, "The Pirate Hypnotist") followed by a quick obstacle removal bit that I do to thank my volunteers, then the count-up and ask the crew how long they feel they've been on stage. Then I fire off the post-hypnotic and call for applause for my volunteers.
In other words, from the high point of the final skit, the rest seems to just peter out. Any recommendations from the pros? Maybe some closing music?
Thanks,
James

It really does vary, sometimes when I am in the mood, I'll have them experience amnesia until they leave my stage or until they wash their hands, etc.
Sometimes I'll count 'em out and they seem to be back, and then I just drop 'em all again and bring 'em back again. .
Hey, any other show (like an opera) is usually over, only when the fat lady sings; with a hypnosis show, it's only over when the Hypnotist says so. LOL

I try to do very visual post hypnotics and sometimes, depending on how the last skit goes over... I don't use them at all.
You really have to experiment with closing routines until you find one that works and that fits your style.
