I'm putting together a really short show format (35 minutes tops), so I'm streamlining my pre-talk and induction, which got me to wondering--

How long is your typical stage show induction?

From the time you get your volunteers on the stage to the time you start your first skit, about how much time typically passes?

Thanks,

James

Just to close out this thread--thanks everyone for your help. My shows went well despite some crazy conditions. I blogged about it all right here:

Ciao,

James
It really varies, usually, I am working as fast as I can to get things running after they are in trance. I have done in in less than 2 minutes with over 20 people, in Atlanta last February, using a Speed-Trance derivative.
Other times like last weekend, outdoors with a low chopper buzzing my Induction, well, a bit longer to get them out and responsive.
Alex--

When I have the option, I use your pre-recording approach. For that show, I didn't have that option.

But everything worked out in the end. :-)

Hi james,

I think most stage hypnotist have a mental block to hypnotizing people fast a good tip is to use a pre show music that says that you will be looking for people to be hypnotized this cuts down the time and also warms up the room to the idea of people joining the show.

You can hypnotize people by suggesting that their hands are locked look at them and snap you fingers in a rapid way,the lock the persons eyes as you know this is my stage hypnosis induction (DDB double blind belief induction)

Its all about the hypnotist state of mind a supreme confidence in his or hers ability to hypnotize people
