Who wants to play? Knowing how challenging it is to instill these patterns into therapeutic conversations and to know what they are and why one is using them, I'm looking for new fun ways to make them more of an unconscious part of my therapy. Here's my idea. Contributors slip in some elements of the Milton Model into a conversational string and the invite goes out to name them (lost performative, complex equivalence etc...)
Now, because nobody's perfect you all must be aware that its as easy or hard as you want it to be - but if you want to join in we could all learn a bit more, won't we?

and realize that any challenges you may have had, can find a new way to trance form into a new meaning, and this is because tonight you will dream...they may be wild!!!, they may be mild, they may be memorable, or they may not be...but at any rate, let this be a sign that your unconscious is providing you with new learnings with each and every experience that you encounter...and this is because each experience is a new experience, is it not?

Don't forget to remember any challenges that have held you back, that way, you can really start to suprise yourself with how well you really influence those around you.. and just keep going from strength to strength..

Ok, this is awesome! I see that there hasn't been any activity in about a month or so. If anyone is interested in playing these games again, let me know. I will be breaking out the cards again tonight and going through them. Thanks, Ry

Cool... Let me know when you're ready. I've played crazy eights only once with some friends but they weren't really into it. (Not the hypnosis types). Are there any other games to play alone besides solitaire?

I need to replace the cards that i've lost (I created my own deck), i get them out at shcool so much they are beat up and old xD. Amazing advertisers, I play a game with them, someone looks over, "what are those?", and well, you can put two and two together :P.

Thank you! I have used similar probing questions with my adolescent psychiatric clients. I notice that when I ask questions like this, most avoid answering, as if they know by answering they will be caught in a process of change which they are trying to avoid. Most just say "I don't know." That is a great answer for someone who is not ready to work on their issues. I also think most of these children have about zero trust in adults and are unwilling to engage in a serious conversation. I like the suggestion of the voice coming from one's feet. I'll try that one.

A message from Antonio to all members of Hypnotic Language Games on HypnoThoughts.com!

After working with a client that I hypnotized today, I thought of an interesting idea to 'alter' negative self talk (based on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neuro-linguistic_programming). So you're reading this bulletin, and you may be aware of some of the 'negative' self talk that you have. Now, I'm wondering, when you are 'talking' negatively to yourself, where do you notice the voice coming from?

Is it:
1) In front of your head?
2) to the right side of your head?
3) to the left side of your head?
4) behind your head?
5) Above your head?
6) Below your head?
7) if none of these, where is it?

Who's voice is it?
1) Is it your own voice?
2) Is it someone elses?

How does this voice sound?
1) Is it demanding?
2) demeaning?
3) ETC.

Now, after running threw this checklist, I'm wondering if you can imagine what your reaction would be if it were to come from your feet...so when you walk around you can 'stomp' this voice out? and how it might also affect you if this voice were to sound like daffy duck, or someone that you don't and or can't take seriously?

I am a certified hypnotist, and I am offering free hypnosis sessions in exchange for a testimonial for my website (when its up and running).

Hi Antonio - I don't know if everybody saw this so I put it up because its such a great post.

Certainly, when you have a client identify the voice they can then decide what to do with it. It would also be good to ask if that same voice is used for all the talk or whether it is just in certain contexts (narrowing the focus) and also the K aspect of the voice, "Do any feelings occur when the voice speaks? Where are they? How big? outside or inside etc?..."

Best,
John

I can't even count the ones you used in the first post....... lol
What a magnificent way to play.
Tell me; how deep a trance are you in, when using these elements of the Milton Model, and are you, by now, able to sense the right way to not be left alone in your own thoughts, while doing that, but to remain concentrated at the things you are now wanting to get better at?
