I realize you wrote this a few years ago but I thought I'd give it a try. I also have the same dilemmas so perhaps this can help me as well. It looks like 3 different dilemmas to me. 1) Placing objects you need in places that escape your attention and memory temporarily 2) Getting side tracked and starting projects before finishing the last project 3) Attending to tasks on the internet more frequently than you feel comfortable with.
Since I am just beginning to learn the language patterns Ill start with each dilemma separately in posts. I hope to be able to eventually use the language patterns in a more natural and elegant way but for now-I will concentrate on just learning them from the cards.
1) Creating a way to shepherd the things you need frequently so you can always find them when you want them
The fact that (fact) means _________
The fact that you're aware that how you are choosing to place everyday objects now isn't working as well as you like means that you are now ready to apply your inner resources to create a way that works for you from now on.
People can, you know, __________
People can, you know, come up with the most clever keys to make instantly recalling where they place their valuable everyday items as easy as opening a good and engaging book. Remembering the location can be like a phone call from your subconscious mind. So effortless it feels like a kind of magic. So spontaneous and delightfully unexpected, so out of the blue like a phone call from a close friend just calling to touch bases with where you are and how you are doing.
People can, [name], _________
People can, Antonio, have their minds instantly offer up a special symbol full of meaning to envision drawn in light around the exact location of whatever they want to remember at the moment it is set down. It can happen so quickly it is like your deep mind was anticipating the fun of a much loved game with all the joy and pleasure of a couple friends totally working together towards the common goal. Even while the rest of your mind is still mulling over the events of your day and your plans for the evening-deeply within you, your guardian mind looks forward to playing the role of jedi protector to the location of this object doing so without any effort from you at all. You don't even have to consciously pay attention to the details at all-it will just be there available at any instant you want-quick as a soap bubble bursting-maybe even quicker.
People can __________ because...
People can remember where they put anything and everything because it is such a pleasure to have the memory of a location magically bubble up from their subconscious minds. Memories may at times appear like a randomly thrown together aquarium but it is so much more. It is a system of exquisite beauty and is infinitely resourceful often in the most unexpected ways.
The moon looks so far away yet exerts powerful influence on the sea to send the tide to lap and bubble at your toes. In this way the moon touches you even while appearing to be so impossibly far away. It can be connected to you in the most unexpected ways.
People are able to ________
It is perfectly ok to get sidetracked. People are able to skillfully handle multiple things-going right back to what they were doing before they got sidetracked. Your subconscious mind is very able to look out for you. A good friend-It always has your back. People are able to discover the paths they need to find their way back. Just follow the bubbles glowing in the moonlight. The moon and the bubbles will always be there when you need them. They are everywhere. Even in the light of day.
Every time I learn a new computer language-I'm continually delighted at finding "Hello World" in yet another kind of code. I always expect it, I know it is going to happen- yet am always driven to that bubbling up of child-like giggles at seeing it in C, Java, Basic, Ruby, Lua, even HTML code. Heck, even seeing a sunrise, what do you think pops into my mind when the sun breaks free of the horizon? That's right, "Hello World".
Funny how it is all connected.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My questions-Does it appear that I understand basically how the language patterns are supposed to work? Am I doing this card thing right? I'd prefer to be as open ended as possible to truly encourage and make use of your own resources but some people may find this frustrating and resist out of that frustration-not everyone is the same. I can't guess, unfortunately, we don't know each other, and I can't gather clues by observing your verbal and non-verbal clues live online so I used what I could gather from your profile and used both open ended and specific suggestions. This medium of text isn't nearly as dynamic as I would like it to be. Or perhaps it is and I just haven't gotten yet or recognized how to use it in that way.
I'll work on about learning how to play Solitaire and Rummy later with the cards :)
gentle day,
Lisa
