Can i start hypnosis shows at hte age of 16?

it all depends to be honest.
you need to show authorativeness and confidence.

are you ready to stand in front of 50,100,200+ people and perform for 60mins ?
can you get to a gig thats 2 hours away?
can you afford all your own pa gear?

just a few questions to ask yourself to get going.

You can do whatever you want as far as hypnotizing buddies and relatives but I don't imagine anyone would officially hire you. This has nothing to do with competence but everything to do with your age. Until you reach 18 or better yet 21 you are a legal threat to anyone who would hire you since it would be difficult to sue you and no one would insure you.

If you need to work up your confidence to do so I suggest you start with some street Hypnosis as I assume you have from the name of this group! Also try family events...extended family of course not just mom and dad. If you work offer your services for the Christmas parties its a great way to start if you comfortable with your coworkers, some worry that they will be the joke of the office...if you do the answer to your question is no wait a few years if yes go for it, you would not be the first!

I concur with Jay. If you're doing this now, how awesome would you be in ten years? I've seen all kinds of young stage performers, why not hypnosis too? If you got it, work it.

Wow, I WISH I would have started at the age of 16! You are at the perfect age to promote all-ages shows to all of your friends at school. Highschool kids are such AMAZING participants as well! I say go for it! You will be a star in your school. If you want to be a bit of an entrepreneur - find a venue where you can promote your own all-ages shows. This could be a hall or a school or even some clubs will allow you to rent them out. If you or someone you know could help you make a deposit on a room-you could sell tickets to your school friends and make some nice $$. As far as getting your first shows - maybe you can do something for a school fundraiser or school function.

I agree with Ice & Jay - you are gonna be a class-A performer & hypnotist in your adult years!!!! Please let us know what happens.

The only thing that can stop you is people telling you, you can't and then you believing them! If you want something in life Go For It... Nobody got nowhere without taking risks.. Yah sure you might fall, but get back up as I always say, living life is the best way to learn, if at first you don't succeed, stop think and learn from it, then apply to your next indeviour,

Here's a question many performers need to ask.
Do you have with a new, a hidden inner master show-person who wants to come out and play?

Besides passion, training, confidence, developing skills, developing your voice, knowing how to stack up a show, being determined to work kindly, ethically and fairly to the people in your care, are you ready to set your mind, your spirit, and all that you are, to living and breathing as an entertainment hypnotist?
Reality is often a projection of who we are and where we're coming from inside. Once you are sure and you are certain, you are most often unstoppable.

One more point, can you get insurance for your shows so venues will book you?
Go get em!

Yes! Go for it!

My son did a show for his teachers and school ates at the age of 14 and got one of the teachers.

And he's now joining the navy. :-(

In India I doubt people would have the same hang-ups about your youth. You are never too young to start.

Well Ankit, if you want to take mature responsibility for wanting to do Hypnosis, you need to plan before you leap... Sit down and figure out how you want to do it, what you want to do and every little detail down to how much you want to charge, figure out what your going to do it for, if it's something you want to earn money from... Plan out every aspect to how you want it to happen, take charge of the situation... the more detail and thought you put into something the less things that will go wrong... Figure that out, get prepared to do it>> AND Jump in with full heart, and have fun!

Doing it the first time is always the hardest, but if you do it with passion and pride, then your going to enjoy it, because your taking more out of it....
