Permalink Reply by Jesus Gonzalez on May 20, 2010 at 3:21am Today I have tried some hypno-sculpture on street but all failed.
When I pretended to ask the way, most people didn't stop, although some gave their answers, but always want to walk away in a hurry. I tried about 8 persons.Only 2 shaked hands with me.
One boy, when I lifted his hand up he said 'what are u doing?'
Another one asked me 'do you need to buy a cheap cellphone' before I try to lift his hand up.Maybe he was doing a pattern interupt on me - that was a con-man.
And no Chinese girl will shake hand with a native stranger.
I think handshake is not a common social etiquette any more in our everyday life. For me,I will not shake hands with any stanger passing by,unless it was in a social/bussiness occasion or a beautiful lady or a foreigner.
People all keep a wary eye on stangers chatting up.So even they allowed to shake hands, since it's not a natural pattern, the interupt thing of course is out of the question.
How can I get a fluent handshake.
