It will be held at Garfield park on the Southeast side of Indianapolis. If your interested in going email me so I will bring plenty of stuff for everyone.
Hypnosis Indiana

I've heard the Hypnosis laws of Indiana will change July 1, 2010. Can any one tell me what that will mean. What will go away and what laws will stay. Thanks for your time and help.

I'm a Certified Hypnotist in Bloomington, Indiana. The hypnosis laws along with the Hypnosis Board were repealed on July 1, 2010. There are no longer any laws regulating the practice of hypnosis in the state.

Hypnosis certification by the state of IN was abolished as a July 1, 2010.

The law states you need atleast 500 hours of traing in hypnosis to be able to become certified by the state. They have a board of commities that decide if you are safe to practice. Not the greatest of ideals, but some regulation should be there for medical use.

I am no longer a resident of the state of Indiana, haven't been for over 20 years, but there is something you need to be aware of. Due to screwy laws in that state, you can't be certified there. Did you know you cannot practice hypnosis without certification? Do they care?? Nope! Catch 22. Solution? Live just outside the state and advertise to Indiana locals, or move just the other side of the state line. Seems devious, but with such conditions I see no other alternative, do you?
