I have a 45 year old female client who was an executive with Delta Airlines. She suffered a stroke about eight years ago and has very limited movement in her left hand and arm. She had surgery to release the constricted tendons in her hand and has completed the physical therapy. The results are totally disappointing. When I look at this hand, I sense the memory of the constriction is so strong that she is not sending the signals from her brain to the hand. I realize that is exactly the damage that was done to her brain, however, I would like to offer her several sessions where we would regress to a time before the stroke and use guided imagery to "see" the messages travel from her brain through her arm to her hand. Does anyone have an opinion or experience attempting to rebuild the synapses in the brain through hypnosis? She is a very intelligent woman and I would love to help her. Since she lives on her disability checks, I will offer my services at no charge. I would appreciate help from my hypnofriends. Any experience with strokes?
