VIRGINIA HYPNOTISTS FORM COALITION TO HELP RETURNING VETS

A coalition of Virginia hypnotists are set to launch their Virginia Vets Hypnosis Project, at their First Annual Conference May 30th in Charlottesville. Offering their services to help returning vets with stress is the Coalition’s response to Secretary of Veteran Affairs, General Eric Shinseki statement that ““I can think of no higher responsibility than that those who have served our nation...are treated with the care and respect that they have earned.”

The conference’s overall topic, “Using Hypnosis in Managing Stress in Modern Times” is yet another response to a current need says Andy Leon, Chairperson of the Central Virginia Chapter. Experts addressing this need are coming from all over the state.

A local speaker is Kay Walkinshaw, PhD of Northern Virginia who will speak on “Change Brain Chemistry – Change Behavior.

The all day conference is also open to all who are interested in hypnotism. The fee for the all day conference is $50 and $65 at the door.

Steve,

Thanks for your comments. The idea for this conference started simultaneously among several members of my Central Virginia Chapter of the NGH. Each of us in the group starting talking about let's come up with something that we can do for our returning Veterans. Hypnosis has quite a history in helping and healing Stress and Trauma. This is a conference to not only share techniques Hypnotists have been using in the field to help, but to organize our efforts to make our services available through out the State of Virginia.
