This is my plan and I'd like some feedback on it. I plan on writing a letter and putting it in a vanilla envelope with copies of each of my brochures. Then taking this around to all the local chiropractors and drop it off.

However, I am having problems coming up with a letter that I like. Each time I write one it sounds more like a "please, please let me put my brochures in your office type" rather then a "not only will you I benefit but so will you" ..see even that doesn't sound right..but I'm sure you know what I mean.

I would really appreciate it if any of you out there have had to do this if you would be willing to share how you worded your letters. I'm sure I'm not the only one that could use this.

Thanks in advance

Bonnie,
Sounds like a great idea! I know how tricky getting the wording just right can be. I spent many years in broadcasting writing commercials. I'll put some thought into it and see if I can come up with some good verbage that might be useful.

Thank you, thank you Darren I really appreciate it as using the right words when I'm trying to get something across in writing is one of my biggest hurdles.
Great idea, I also suggest M.D.'s & Dentist, etc. As far as the body of the letter, I have used statistical information, and just have the attitude that you are their the help them enhance their practice.
Bonnie,
Did you get that letter written?
If not...I would be happy to brainstorm with you.
I was browsing around the hypnothoughts website and just noticed this conversation.

Bonnie,

I am not a new hypnotist but maybe I can shed a light on this subject...Chiro. and MDs need to see you in order to recommend you. I found out by passing out my brochures unless they get to know you or you set up a appt. and let them see who you are alot of them will not use you or put your brochures up..it's weird I know..but they are picky and I really can't blame them thou

My way I do it I call first and ask can I drop off or mail it to them and I would like to in exchange promote them..you get alot further with that...just my thoughts, hope it helps..
Bonnie,
I was in private practice for over 20 yrs. as a chiroprctic doctor. I agree with Pattie 100%. When a doctor makes a referral their reputation is also on the line. For the most part you make referrals to people you know and trust will provide quality care to your patients. If the patient has a bad experience they will also blame the doctor who referred them. You need to make a point to meet face to face with the doctor. That is step one! If they are impressed with you then they will most likely listen to your message. Provide them with valid information as to the effectiveness and safety associated with hypnosis in general and your services specifically. Make sure it is VERY CLEAR what the benefits are for the doctor's office and their patients if they were to recommend your services. Remember from their perspective it is about them, their office and their patients. Make that your focus. I can say with confidence that just asking to leave some brochures with their office will have almost zero ROI. Sad but true. There must be that personal connection, positive reputation and confidence in you and the care you provide before most docs will endorse your brochures or make a referral. Hope this insight helps.
