t Ouja Boards

I as a child loved the Ouja board, I also loved to have seance's down my basement as a child, I didn't think anything of it,to me it was just a game, most kids use to do those type of things especially growing up without all the modern conveniences as kids have today, internet, cellphones, and etc.
We kind of basically used our imaginations, and it was all in good fun.
I was one of those kids that had to rush home and watch Dark Shadows, and that opened a whole new world for me, I was obsessed with the show at that time, and I wasn't the only one, everyone did the same thing.
By now I am not so sure, I have an Ouja board, took it out and there was a force pulling my hands I can't explain it, but I won't touch it anymore, I look at it but I am afraid to actually open the board up, I don't want anything evil coming into my house, and I do believe it is a portal or a gateway for demonic forces to come into my surroundings. What is anyone else's opinion about it?

If you believe it is evil, don't touch it. Each person's belief system is what powers everything. If you fear it, you will feed it fear and create it to be, as you fear it.

I personally have absolutely no fear of them. I have several and none of them have ever caused any harm. But I am very experienced in the metaphysical realm, and a psychic channeler. The board is too slow for me. I can get much more information just out of pure thought or concentration. It's too boring for me.

Everything depends on one's own personal religious belief system. Some will say it's a direct connection to the devil, and another will say it's hogwash. Some will scare the crap out of you, building more fear, and swearing that it's a portal to hell and others will say it's just a tool for the subconscious idiomotor response, all science and logic.

I personally feel the board is a tool for communicating with another realm, or subconscious or even your own higher self. I believe it's possible to attract lower or higher vibrational energy (spirit), pending the users desires or goals with the board.

I also believe media / Hollywood created it to be more more dangerous than it really is, if you use it "knowing" perfectly well it's harmless, by using protection of a higher guide. To know protection is there, is kind of like having 'faith' in a cross to a Vampire.

There is no factual or scientific proof, either way.

Hello Christine,

I do spirit releasement and many clients got their attachments while using an Ouja board. They were too young to know about protection. They opened the door and got a negitive entity rather than a higher spirit coming through.

Just my experience.

Jill, You done it again, I was going to comment on this yesterday but I got busy and had to go, I got into this today to comment on it and you beat me to it. What can I say but I agree with you... Okay sense you saved me some time on what I was going to say I just want to add, There are many divination tools if you don't feel right with the Quja Boards than find something you do feel comfortable with. Like Jill said because you fear it would be the reason you can bring it in... I don't really believe in good and evil like others however I do believe in energy, we can bring that which we fear. Because Quja Boards have such a bad wrap it tends to scare the evil out of people sort of speak.

My hand often feels like it is being drawn towards things only it is not evil that it is being drawn towards it is Energy, I see it as a good thing. My friend who just heard what I wrote commented she never had a bad experience only good experience with Quja Boards she said and Yes she uses alone, She said she is not posses now, (Unless being cute is being posses) There is nothing to fear but fear itself. If you don't feel comfortable choose something you do feel comfortable with... -Penny-

I absolutely believe that you should NOT use a Ouja board. I have had personal experiences and am dealing with people that have used the board and brought in very negative, dark entities. When using the Ouja Board, it is like putting out a call for everything and anything to come and join you. I am the absolute last person that dramatizes anything, but I absolutely say you should get rid of it. Burn it.

If you don't feel comfortable with the Ouija Board then get rid of it. Don't give it any power expescially negative...I agree with all of you it got a bad rap in the past because the young ones played with it tapping into different areas.

Hi Everybody:

Ouija Boards (imho) are a gateway to another realm and can be dangerous if not used properly. Just as in doing any type of spiritual communication work you really must do Prayer/Protection Work prior to working with them. When you do that several things will happen. You will tend to draw to you higher beings that can handle the light/higher vibration that you are working within, and you will also get a better, clearer, easier to understand reading/message from the higher beings that you are communicating with.
If someone has a board that has been used as a gateway without such protection in the past, I would suggest either getting rid of it if that feels right, or Clearing/Cleansing it through any number of means such as Smudging with Sage, Using Prayer, Sprinkling with Holy Water, or preferably All of the Above.
Just like Jill mentioned, the Ouija Board is too slow for me too...I'd rather use another method, but that is just my personal preference. They are, after all, just a tool. Your Intention to use them for only the Higher Truth/In the Light will make all of the difference in the world.
Try Invoking the Blessings of the Supreme Being or Holy Angels prior to using and you will have a enlightening experience.

Exactly... if you "think" you need protection, you create the need to need it, which sometimes isn't good enough... instead "know" that you ARE a supreme being... as we are all part of GOD. Nothing can touch that. If one really honestly believes that they are lower that God, No wonder why one would feel fear. So, instead realize that we were all created in the image of God himself. We were all created from God. It's MAN that did his own creating while not realizing the power of creation. Man sure has some wild imaginations and lots of excuses. I am sure enough of man's thoughts, did in fact create negative entities. If we ARE god, we can create just like God. So maybe it's time to quit creating negative.... Be careful what you think. I will happen. Isn't that what hypnosis is all about? Thought, which creates absolutely everything...

This is my own opinion... at least the way I see things. To each their own.

LOL, I know... I hear ya!

I have to admit, I do believe in a spiritual realm, but I don't believe in portals, or gateways to hell. 17years in the paranormal field personally and no proof of that as of yet. I have been to some of the darkest of dark places, including many prisons, and known very negatively haunted places, I have to admit... still it's the human soul that causes this stuff.
I personally don't believe in such a thing as demons, other than just a negative name for something capable of being bad, which is also capable of being something good. We all have that capacity... choose what you want. But no board is going to bring about a devil, unless you think it will and fear it due to your own belief system. It's not in my own belief system so it couldn't hurt me, unless someone else swung and hit me with the board. Then it would be bad... because I would swing back defensively with something bigger. LOL Cherish the negative side, it's your protector, but recognize the positive side, it's where love resides.

Do you ever watch Ghost Whisperer..you show look for it on HULU on the computer yesterday there was a episode about this subject. I know someone that is in the metaphysical realm and she warns people to leave those boards alone since they have a tendency to link to the beyond and some bad spirits...

Its what you you feel comfortable with..also there is a show called paranmoral I thnk on A & E where they also believe it is tampering with the evil side of spirits....

I think it's exactly what you believe and 'think' it is... so if you 'think' it would be something that makes you uncomfortable, don't do it.

I personally do not have any issues with any such devices, but my belief system is advanced metaphysical and highly spiritual. Since I personally do not believe in such a thing as demons or pure evil...perhaps that is the only reason why it's never effected me, (and I have used them A LOT), prior to learning how to channel without such devices.

As far as my own belief, this doesn't mean I don't believe in negative. I believe absolutely everything has both positive and negative to exist, and can indeed CHOOSE either way, or both. Even in biblical writings, the devil was an angel. Doesn't mean it's still not with-in.... it's a choice IMHO.

I personally think it's no different than a pendulum, ordinary telephone, L rods, or any type of spiritual communication device. One can speak directly to a spirit with-out any device at all. However: In my 17 years of serious paranormal investigations- I have YET to be able to prove such thing as demons, or evil entities exist. But.... I have had run ins with some mean and nasty disembodied spirits. So, all in all, be careful and play safe.

While I don't like what is portrayed on TV at all, because they HAVE to spice it up for ratings.... I agree.... use caution. You are putting yourself at risk, if you honestly believe in such things. I know even nice spirits will tamper and play games out of humor, thinking... hey... lets play around with the scared human...but the human doesn't appreciate it, nor think it to be funny. Which is why some could easily come up with such notions.

Think of the possibilities... We sure like to scare people... and laugh. I do it all the time.... i hide behind a door or wall and pop out at my kids or hubby. They do it to me too.... then we laugh like crazy... I know goofy... but remember, a disembodied soul, could have that same personality and like to goof off.

Anyway, that is looking at it from a different perspective. I also just realized I already posted a lot of the same info. Sorry for repeat.
