Now I think I figured it out! How to show a video in the group! This is showing you how the neurotransmitters (or molecules of mood) work in our brain! Endorphins, Serotonin, and Substance "P" to name a few. very "visual" and very simple... Might be good to use with your "chronic pain" clients?!

Posted 2 "new" videos on "Meditation and the Brain" Part 3 and 4! With studies and comments from Andrew Newberg's and Daniel Spiegel's work! The evolution of consciousness has a transforming effect upon the brain and the whole organism! "We have the capacity to heal the emotional dysfunction of our own brain". That is of course assuming that 'emotions are generated in the brain" which we have no "scientific" proof of. On the contrary, Candace PERT in "Molecules of Emotion" says she found the neurotransmitters (molecules of emotion) in EVERY cell of the human body. So emotions are generated, stored and released in the whole body!

Anyway, the videos are great to show in details the effects of meditation (as probably any mindful heart-centered focusing) on different part of the brain and what it means in the meditators life and behaviors!

What did you learn?

I could not add the video here so it is on my page/videos.

There is a part 1 and Part 2.  Let me know what you think!

Nadine,
I am a Reconnective Healing Practitioner. After the hype of Eric Pearl's class, I came home and went into business doing "RH" -healing work. I had some successes, but it was not consistent. Some people did not respond at all to the healing sessions. I became discouraged because I couldn't effect change consistently like I wanted to. Being an RH practitioner was the 7th healing modality I was certified in, and none of the methods I had learned produced the consistent, high quality results I had been seeking for clients. The next step was going back to my roots (as a hypnosis client) and learning to do hypnosis. Now that I do hypnosis, I have not had any desire to return to Reconnective Healing--at all. And now I see that for those people who responded well with Reconnective Healing, they were displaying signs of trance and were in hypnosis. Those people whom it did not help at all seemed to be those that were not receptive to trance (Pearl calls them "registers"). I concluded that the true healing was coming from being in hypnosis, not the hype Eric Pearl was spewing. The value of Eric Pearl's RH is his extreme belief in his work, and that he was getting the people into trance. I'm much happier with hypnosis as my chosen healing modality, I intend to add some of the healing I've learned mixed in with hypnosis soon. All I need is a couple hundred people to work with and I will be a dynamite practitioner very soon.

If you have never seen this video it is absolutely fascinating and appropriate to this conversation. It is long but very worthwhile, I believe.

I have discovered the work of Eric Pearl and his Reconnective Healing! What a confirmation of what is possible when you just learn to tune up to the high frequencies... The world is really changing and personally, I believe a new "quantum" kind of hypnosis is also being created. When you think about it, a few decades ago, only a few -monks meditating on top of a mountain fro years, or the few able to go beyond the "coma" hypnosis- only very few were able to reach and talk about the deep tetha state! And now, there are people everywhere finding a way to access that "Unlimited Resource State" in a few minutes... And we are atarting teaching our clients how to do that...
Have you change the way you use hypnosis in the past few years?
Any comments?

meditation on being peaceful and transcendant and sending healing energy to loved ones every day sets a tone for me.

I don't get as angry. I think about what I AM grateful for in my present instead of what I am ungrateful and mad about.

Breathing. Just good old fashioned deep breathing. I wrote an article about breathing here: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1979560/how_to_breathe_changing_your_breath.html?cat=5
